  1. My money is tentatively on Toronto. A lot of bubbles have burst in the division, but Toronto's hitting has been the only constant.
  2. Casey McGehee: released outright.
  3. Sure, a day of would be nice. A day off ... in PANIC CITY!! Actually, Sandy missed his calling. Panic City would have been a great band name.
  4. Cincinnati and Washington postponed. Mets gain a half game and go to bed three games back.
  5. Halfway through the woods, and they're 45. Not as good as my hopes, but better than my fears.
  6. Gonzalez Germen is not sure which army he's marching in. December 19, 2014: Purchased by the New York Yankees from the New York Mets. January 20, 2015: Purchased by the Texas Rangers from the New York Yankees. January 23, 2015: Selected off waivers by the Chicago Cubs from the Texas Rangers. July 7, 2015: Selected off waivers by the Colorado Rockies from the Chicago Cubs. Welcome to the Rockies, Gonzo. Baseball purgatory for relief pitchers.
  7. 3139 / .443 since the end of the winning streak. It would be nice to get that number down to scratch. Milwaukee helped us by coming from behind to beat Atlanta. Cubs host the Cards later. The Nats are at home too against Cincinnati.
  8. Well, so much for making the All Star team and mailing it in your next start. Today was nearly his best start of the year. I'd say only the one hit/11 K game against St. Louis tops it.
  9. And... the glove of Flores... also our salvation. Weird.
  10. Dang, Duda's glove is giving us more win than his bat.
  11. Eric Campbell, welcome to the dawn of your redemption.
  12. Well Minneapolis-St. Paul has a metropolitan area of 3,797,883, while New York is offering 20,092,883, so that's... not quite a fair team-up.
  13. The search engine seemingly won't come up with a link that's less than a year old. It's been like that since the start of June, I think. Its productivity seems to correlate with the Mets.
  14. Four left fielders in four days, I believe.
  15. Ah, the old Campbell-in-left chicanery.
  16. Second straight The Two Jakes matchup for deGrom.
  17. I don't know what you're getting on SNIGH, but there are some profoundly annoying fans within range of the Giants microphone.
  18. Also... TransactionTransferred To 60-Day Disabled ListPosition=#FF8000]Relief Pitcher[fimg=90]http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_234194.jpg[/fimg]NameBuddy CarlyleDoB10/11/89 #58
  19. How 'bout Colon, given Mufftone a reassuring pat on the butt as he returns to his position?
  20. Tejads shows caring and stuff.
  21. He'd rather routinely whiff the pitcher.
  22. I like how one game garnered Matz the less-coveted "Rookie of the Month" award. I also like how the photography matches the photography of the era of the cards, lacking latter-day super-high-def or super-deep-focus.
  23. There goes my dream that they'd rest Crawford the whole series.
