  1. Gary was wrong and the umps (and now the replay booth) was right. Acuña got picked.
  2. When Porcello is bad, it's usually at the beginning, so two strong innings at the top of the game is sweet. And that fat ERA is down to 5.82!
  3. Ozuna's bat is gross. It looks like it's growing fur.
  4. That may be the most frequently used lineup Rojas has marched out there. It's a good afternoon for Porky to get that ERA out of the sixes.
  5. Besides the mask, one thing that makes it hard to judge Rojas is that he's the first guy we've ever had managing under American League rules.
  6. "I didn't have that many great moments as a player, as far as doing anything," Gardenhire said. Can't forget the extra-inning walkoff shot off the Expos and Bryn Smith, though. [FIMG=700]http://leaptoad.com/mets/scorecard_graph.php?game=3348&font=5[/FIMG]
  7. I'm still hoping we'll see some Ed Cuervo action with the big club soon.
  8. There's nothing that says "METS WIN" like a classic handshake between Robinson Chirinos and Erasmo Ramirez after the final out. If I've seen it once, I've seen it a thousand times.
  9. Edgy MD wrote: Are there actual humans in the seats? They are as fake as the hair and body of the blonds on FOX & Friends. Stop ruining FOX for me!
  10. Get healthy, Gardy.
  11. Let's get Oswalt for the ninth!
  12. McClendon played bushie ball in the Mets system with Gardenhire.
  13. Talk about luck changing: Those last two hits by Chirino and Nimmo should have been three outs, and neither was close.
  14. Who the fuck are those people? Are they there digitally or something?
  15. Tull has loaded the bases on three walks in the first with no outs.
  16. I really want Conforto to chase Duvall to the track.
  17. Adam Duvall interviewed while playing defense? I'm not so sure I'm down with this.
  18. Are there actual humans in the seats?
  19. Not giving up four runs in the first is ... a positive trend. In the sense that a data set of one inning in one game can be called a trend, anyhow.
  20. The Mets transaction wire says they've signed a lefthanded 18-year-old named Daniel Mercedes. It is unclear if this is the same Daniel Mercedes who they were reported to have signed back in late July. The latter is also a lefthanded pitcher, but is a 28-year-old former low-level Baltimore prospect who isn't known to have pitched professionally in seven years. Any clarity would help the cause.
  21. it's baseball card theater in the booth as the game itself is beyond out of hand. Gary, Keith and Ron are pulling Braves baseball cards and adding commentary on whatever Brave player they happen to be pulling. So why does Gary, who did not play MLB, have better stories than Keith or Ron? [FIMG=333]https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/7193lkAaZFL._AC_SL1090_.jpg[/FIMG] How could nobody have commented on the comical magic marker swabbing of Jackson's hat insignia? Ron even remarked on how much he loved the card design.
  22. I'm curious as to see what kind of PotG support Frazier's pitching garners.
  23. Todd Frazier on the mound. Show us J.D. Davis!!
  24. Keith is wrong. Biff Pocaroba wasn't a lefthanded hitter. He was a switch hitter.
  25. Luke Jackson doing a good job with the western renegade look.
