  1. Ump just got totally framed for strike three to Gimenez.
  2. I think Keith is high tonight.
  3. Giving Mc the bunt single, but he's not taking it. Instead, fouling off half a dozen pitches.
  4. 1) Nola gassed. 2) Mets have the tying run at the plate. 3) The Phils have to get 11 outs out of their pen. 4) Neris may not even be available, having pitched in three straight games.
  5. Only a matter of time before Pete lost one of those curves. Of course, he had already been struck out three pitches before.
  6. They gots to chase NOLA here.
  7. They're really polishing off the get-the-leadoff-guy-on-and-don't-advance-him game.
  8. Erasmo is something else.
  9. Keith talking a flaming pile of bullshit about Pete Rose.
  10. Chirinos joins the LoB Society. =Fman99 post_id=46787 time=1600387939 user_id=86] This game got ugly quick. Like Tina Yothers.
  11. Why did McKneel end up sticking at first on a wild pitch in the dirt?
  12. Ron Reed, at the beginning of his baseball career with Atlanta, also played two seasons for the Pistons in the NBA.
  13. It's gonna be an Erasmoday.
  14. Holy shit. B2B2B!
  15. Nostalgia for powder blues is doubly silly when teams bring them back as a home uniform. And the Phils quickly cut the lead to 3-2.
  16. Bryce Harper's beard go gray? I know slump are tough, but ...
  17. What I do believe is luck though are batting stats with runners on base/runners in scoring position. The Mets would revert to the mean there over a full season and it would help a lot. I'm not as confident.
  18. It was that August 19 game. The Mets were going for the sweep over the Marlins with deGrom on the mound. Familia and Wilson gave up one run in the seventh and Betances took the mound in the eighth with a one-run lead, but he loaded the bases with a single, walk, and hit-batsman with two outs before giving way to Diaz who walked in the tying run before getting the strikeout to end the inning. The Mets retook the lead in the top of the ninth on a two-run homer by Confetti, and the whole Mets world SCREAMED for Rojas to go with Lugo in the ninth. But Luis was all, "Fuck no, I have Lugo scheduled for a start and Diaz only threw nine pitches in the eighth. Diaz rewarded his confidence by striking out the side in the ninth — the first two guys on three pitches each — and he's been something close to a rock ever since.
  19. Norman must've had POOR MAN'S ROD STEWART printed on his business cards.
  20. =bmfc1 post_id=46722 time=1600310198 user_id=73] =metsmarathon post_id=46715 time=1600309015 user_id=83] I don't think McNeil is nearly as speedy as he thinks himself to be.
  21. Giants up 5-0 on Mariners unfortunately.
  22. Neris lives on borrowed time. The entire Phillie pen does. Keep at it with these guys and they'll fold every time. Ask the Marlins.
  23. Great bullpen game. Great J.D. Davis game. Poor defensive game and a poor baserunning game, but I'll take it.
  24. McNelly definitely knows about gittin' tagged. Two out with the tying run on first. and DeeDee Ramone stepping in.
  25. Mets making a habit of picking Wheeler's pocket.
