  1. If tonight's game gets rained out does Morabito go into the Mets 'books' as having "worn" #8? If only there were a website worthy enough to decide such things.
  2. But they're not. His posts still aren't in places where they used to be and the thread(s?) that he began (at least one that I know of) are also missing entirely. So not only is he not banned (not that it ever occurred to me that he was) but he might not have even left? And, yet, he appears to be the only one this happened to. Tres odd.
  3. Overall forecast doesn't look bad so it's likely they'll get the game in. But yaneverknow what hyper-local conditions are like.
  4. It's not clear from the Puma tweet whether Morabito requested a change ("was given #8 by the Mets" but maybe wants something else) or if someone on the Mets issued it before a higher-up had a stroke and then sprang into action to put the kibosh on it ... but just a bit too late for tonight's game.
  5. This triple OF call-up [Benge, Ewing, Morabito] within barely more than 1/4 season window lends logic (you can decide on your own if logic = justification) to the idea of cutting ties with Nimmo's contract prior to his value falling due to the Mets running out of room to use him.
  6. Yanx went right back to the well with Bednar following his 3 R / 3 H / 23 pitch nightmare ninth on Sunday, bringing him on in the 9th to protect a 2R lead vs Toronto. Pitchforks were likely being sharpened in Yanqui-land as he started the inning BB - RBI 2B, but he eventually survived K-ing Springer then getting Vladdy Jr to GO with two on for the save and a 7-6 Yanx win. Too bad. A second consecutive BS/loss would have been so sweet. In the big NL battles the Brewers chopped the Cubs' lead down to just a half game in the Central with a 9-3 win, while the Padres made a 1st inning Miguel Andujar HR stand up as they blanked the now 2nd place Dodgers 1-0
  7. Oh ,c'mon, Kimbrel gave up 2 hits and an unerned run with a 12 run lead. Let's not act as if this was us being forced to run a gauntlet. a response to earlier posts
  8. Hardly the only one, but he made a nice contribution.
  9. I don't get the position player pitching decision. The Nats went from probably not winning this game to winning it being the equivalent of an inside straight paired with a lottery ticket.
  10. A Baty Grand Slam puts this game away ... just sayin'
  11. Hey crap, If that bunt is caught then it's an easy DP
  12. But that brings up teh bases loaded walk, plus the specter of trying to double up Brujan. Nats are doing it after getting down 2-0 to Soto.
  13. I had visions of Brazoban throwing that one down the RF line.
  14. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit guzzling vodka out of the bottle.
  15. You have to catch that (Semien's fly to the LF corner) if you're the Nats OF, even if it's going foul. Yeah the Mets take the lead but, with two outs/none on, you've virtually eliminated the two run inning which is what you want to do as the home team.
  16. So ... Brujan to run and Baty to 1st? And it looks like that's the play.
  17. 17.5% of NYM games (10 of 57) have gone to extra innings this year. Record = 5-4 pending the results of this one.
