    The weird thing about this series is that, for the most part, they've kept Freddie and Acuna off the bases but instead are being burned by a bunch of guys (Hamilton, Hechavarria, Cervelli) who weren't even Braves until just a few days ago, or, in Cervelli's case, just a few hours ago.

    What an innovative marketing department (iow: not ours) could have lined up for this weekend is mixing in songs with Black and/or White in them between innings. You can go with PAINT IT BLACK when the visiting team comes to bat, then counter with KNIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN in the bottom half. WHITE WEDDING, BLACK AND WHITE, EBONY AND IVORY, etc

    Jackson & Melancon each pitched a single inning/13 pitches on Thursday, so likely everyone is available out of the Atlanta pen. Doesn't matter though, this game is ending in this half ... and the HBP means that we even now know who's going to score the winning run.

    Swarzak has pitched with 8 ML clubs. His worst ERA and worst WHIP came from his time as a Met. That alone deserves a beating here.

    OK. The HBP of a guy with Zero ML hits was horrid, but no one else came close to making contact in that inning and they burned two bench players in the process.

    It's now 12-9 Marlins (Phils led 7-0) and still just in the bottom of the 5th (that game started the same time as ours)

    Considering the 'Bigness' of this game, I think you've got to go at least another inning w/JdG, 100 pitches or not. Besides, he's our only offensive threat at this point.
