  1. Dom not exactly taking his opportunity and running with it. Re: two strike threes looking

  3. This is almost entirely a two true outcomes game so far.
  4. Not how you'd draw up the opening frame (almost 2x worth of pitches) but unscathed thus far.
  5. First REAL day game of the year (those 4:10's don't count). Lost a few because of the lockout but this one plus the next three are all under the sunshine (as long as the sun is, y'know, shining).
  6. So MFY announcer Paul O'Neill is reportedly in the no-vaxx camp and therefore was not part of the booth for their opening series vs Boston and only joined the telecast of the series vs Toronto via remote from his home in Ohio whilst Cone & Kay were in situ. Not that anyone in MFY-land is actually saying that's the reason but their excuse of "family reasons" likely doesn't explain why he's working the games in the first place if that's the only issue.
  7. 2-0, 8 hits combined, 3:12 Will the Mets play a game under 3:00 this year? They haven't yet.
  8. Frayed Knot wrote: Lindor had a better shot at 1B Yah my reaction too. Should have come up throwing to get Castellanos there. If nothing else, he had the chance to straighten up and give it a full throw, something he did Not have time for at 2B. OTOH, he had virtually no time to make that decision.
  9. Lindor had a better shot at 1B
  10. Not the guy you want to see as the tying run. On the other hand, Harper has looked like shit tonight.
  11. Dr Smith makes a couple of Philly batters look lost in space.
  12. =Fman99 post_id=89137 time=1649809148 user_id=86] Nice cut there by Nimmsy. Glad to see Wheeler exit stage wherever
  13. Not helping our offensive cause that Philly actually gots a 3rd baseman tonight who can throw across the diamond.
  14. So 31 y/o identical twins Taylor & Tyler Rogers got the save and loss in the SDP/SFG game last night in Frisco LHP Taylor, who spent his first six ML seasons with, yes, the Twins, notched his 3rd save of the season for the 4-1 Padres. In the other dugout, RHP Tyler, now in his 4th season w/the Giants, gave up the tie-breaking run in the 7th and got hung with the 'L'
  15. =bmfc1 post_id=89073 time=1649727705 user_id=73] Buck has pushed the wrong button every time tonight.
  16. A shitty loss plus two pitchers going down on the same day. I think I've seen this movie before.
  17. Well that's why you build four run leads, so you can withstand three run comebacks.
  18. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: See you in August, May At the very least we may see May in May.
  19. Braves' turn to face the Nats; in Atlanta for three on the same sked as our series w/Philly [Night, Night, Day] Nats lead 5-1 but they started about 45 minutes later so are just in bottom 5
  20. Frayed Knot wrote: You can't stop McCann's speed you can only hope to contain it. The best part of typing this post was that when I got past the word 'speed' my phone anticipated every word afterward. Nice to see that my phone is conversent in Cliches 101
  21. You can't stop McCann's speed you can only hope to contain it.
  22. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: When was the last time a Mets team could win by playing better d than the other guys? None ofvthe first three wins fit that category. The one thing the Nats did better was out-D'd us.
  23. And this game tonight is on FS1 for those who don't have SNY access.
  24. There are restrictions as to what pitchers are permitted to wear on their pitching hands/fingers. Nolan Ryan, who of course played at the same time as Seaver, used to often miss time with blisters so this "wuss" excuse is not something unique to this current generation of hurlers. And, yeah, pickle brine was a frequent treatment to 'toughen up' the skin. Crazy Glue is used sometimes as well.
