  3. It's a shame that we couldn't wrack their pen but Morton suddenly started getting single-digit pitch innings after looking like he wouldn't get past the 3rd and outlasted Peterson who obviously got undone in a two pitch sequence.
  4. The staff has suddenly allowed 10 runs and 5 HRs over the last two games. Now would be a nice time to stop doing that.
  5. Yup. We got four games inside 48 hours with these dudes (Tuesday x 2 plus Wed afternoon) and they better not all go like this otherwise we'll wind up blowing a great month in less than two days time.
  6. Yanx score once in the top of the 9th and win 3-2 Now ten straight W's
  7. How many shit hits are the Braves going to get tonight?
  8. Nice leadoff 'hitting' by McSquirrel
  9. Bad call on what should have been strike 3 to Swanson in the 5th winds up costing Bassitt around a dozen extra pitches despite no actual damage on the scoreboard.
  10. Jays actually won 11 of 19 last year vs NYY Unfortunately, 91 wins only netted them 4th place in the 2021 AL East Currently 2-2 bottom 5 Astros are wearing unis proclaiming them as SPACE CITY in their home game vs Mariners tonight
  11. =Gwreck post_id=91085 time=1651532329 user_id=56] 1 game for Buck, 3 for Yoan Lopez. He's going to need some more donations from Lindor and Escobar.
  12. Semi-big series for the first week in May in the AL East Yanx have the best record in MLB (16-7) and a 1.5 game lead over the Blue Jays courtesy of their active nine-game winning streak (and 11 Ws in their last 12). But those dozen games came against BAL, DET, CLE, BAL again, and then KCR ... so draw your own conclusions. Now they get those 2nd place Jays for six of the next nine games; starting tonight in Toronto then three in da Bronx next week (w/TEX in between) With Boston off to a weak start (9-14 and just 1/2 game ahead of BAL for DFL in the ALE) and TBR floating around .500 (12-10) this could wind up as the division tussle to watch for '22. At some point all those baby Jays are going to have to show that they're something other than just hi-light film stars.
  13. On the other hand, he also wasn't optioned to the minors whilst he slept either, something which was considered a possibility around the time he was putting the mask on.
  14. Votto had a solid season last year at age 37 following two more mundane ones prior to that. You'd have to figure sss on his stats being That low now but who knows. Turns 39 at the end of this season and has one more guaranteed season plus a club option/buyout for '24
  15. BVW was his agent at one point, back when that huge FA deal with Seattle was struck. But Cano & he split some time after that and, of course, Brodie was no longer an agent at all at the time of the trade or since his GM stint ended. So, yeah, Cano's DFA'ing (or anyone else's for that matter) has nothing to do with BVW or his time here.
  16. He's an ex-agent, so not currently an agent of anyone.
  17. =G-Fafif post_id=91036 time=1651504015 user_id=55] The active roster is down to the regulation limit of 26.
  18. As I've said before, ESPN doesn't think we tune in to watch baseball. ESPN thinks we tune in to watch ESPN. Meanwhile on ESPN2, 'Kay Rod' had about a two-inning long love-fest with Keith who was in a small inset box via a bad connection from his home while Kay & Rod were on a larger inset as the game itself played on in the background.
  19. =kcmets post_id=90949 time=1651428514 user_id=53] Hard to believe this year is the 30th anniversary for Camden Yards 'already.'
  20. Play series. Win series. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
  21. Dom & Squirrel driving a 4x4 right through the heart of tonight's game. (4 hits each)
  22. You can't stop Dom Smith ... and you can't even hope to contain him either.
  23. Cool pic of Joey Cora and (very) young Lindor.
