  1. Yeah, walk yet another guy ... this one in front of Judge you fucking pinhead!!
  2. And now two more singles ... with the only out coming from a CS between the hits. Get this guy outta here!!! (and now they do)
  3. This game settled down after a 3R HR gave Houston a 6-3 lead in the 2nd So how does Astro closer Pressley start the 9th inning with a 3 run lead in a stadium with a 250ft fence ... by going BB BB HR (Aaron Hicks) of course. Still no one out. The HR was the Yanx first hit since the 1st inning and their third of the game. The dozen runs scored in this game have come via four 3R HRs

Not sure two runs with have scored on that double-turned-single even with better baserunning, but 2nd & 3rd with one out sure gives you a better chance moving forward than merely 1st & 2nd So the Astros move from the Mets directly to the Yanx ... although have to shuttle halfway across the country to do so. 'Stros scored three times in the top of the 1st ... and then gave it all back in the first four batters in the bottom half. What was that line from a candy commercial a couple years back?: 'Not going anywhere for a while' Game is national on MLBN btw
  5. Lugo reinstated; Yoan Lopez Super Ultra sent back down. Cuz, y'know, it has to be a pitcher for pitcher swap. I suspect we'll see McCann for Mazieka next but nobody's called me with that info yet. (I'm corresponding with a real HVAC Met)

  7. Top-9: -- Wilmer grounds out -- Ruf: K's -- Joc Pederson: HR ... and it's a one run game -- Longoria
  8. Giants inch a bit closer with a run in top 8 on three consecutive singles. The only problem was that the final single was off the wall, so they c/should have had another.
  9. A very quick and very scoreless 7th inning in Cobb County.
  10. =kcmets post_id=97117 time=1656004587 user_id=53] Los Bravos up 6-1 already after two. Thanks, Gigantes... for nothing.
  11. And the Yanx score twice in the 8th to beat Tampa
  12. I have ZERO memory of Kyle Farnsworth being a Met
  13. Down by 2 in bottom 9, Braves tie it up and are still batting. 1 out / runner on 1st Phils lost Marlins winning. Nats in rain delay
  14. Final in Atlanta SFG: 12 - Bravrs 10 Also, Phillies getting kilt MIA 9 - COL 8 Nats won
  15. Yanx lost tonight (despite scoring twice in the 9th) ... a fact always worth noting these days, for its rarity if nothing else. 9-8 SFG over ATL heading for bottom 8 This one might still have multiple twists and turns yet to go.
  16. They're getting two out XBHs. We're not even getting two out singles.
  17. It's not like we haven't had our opps tonight.
  18. Giants jump out to a 4-0 lead on the Braves in the 2nd ... And now in the 3rd it's 5-4 Braves
  19. I can't say enough about how cool that site was. There were no peers on the the internet run by fans that came close to how well done it was. They even tolerated -- dare I say, Liked -- me during my occasional visits there, and in general Houston fans tend to like things associated with the Mets on a par with warm beer and cold Bar-b-Que. At one point they were thinking about expanding to include sites for other teams but then the bottom dropped out of that initial internet boom right at the same time they got a cease and desist letter from the Astros over having various logos on their site. So they (Kevin & Scott, not sure if I ever knew the last name) opted instead to reverse course and get out all together. 21. =kcmets post_id=96855 time=1655823648 user_id=53] Old-timers here: What was the name and some memories of that way- ahead-of-it's-time web-site and forum that those Astros fans ran back in the day? It was the best, and very interwebspirational to me at the time.
  22. And just as I type that the Braves win. SFG had a similar opportunity in top 9 w/1 out but K'd twice and didn't score.
  23. Braves actually have to play some major league teams this week, starting with SFG tonight and LAD next weekend. Currently 1-1 in bottom 9 in hot 'Lanta 2 on, 2 outs, Braves batting
  24. As mentioned up the thread somewhere, some of the trouble was Peterson's own fault but almost all of the Marlin hits you see listed were softies so it was part bad luck too. His main problem was that those hits plus the BBs/HBP (and the Escobar error) came mostly leading off innings. That he was able to dance out of every one of them (w/help in the 6th) made his performance better IMO than how the raw line reads. btw, that's the 11th shutout of the season, accounting for just shy of 1/4 of their wins (11 of 45) Add in the seven games allowing just 1 run and they're up to 35% ceding one run or fewer 2019, just to get back to the previous season without 7 inning games, saw 12 shutouts all year Not too bad for being without the #1 starter completely and at least 1/2 of the #2
