  1. These calls must be definitive if Mattingly isn't challenging them.
  2. Astros start the 9th inning Walk, Double, Single, Single ... yet score just once as one guy ran through a stop sign w/no outs and was easily nailed at home. Eh, don't worry, you've still got a three run lead and the Yanx haven't overcome one of those since ... oh yeah, it was Thursday, AGAINST YOU!!!
  3. Nevis (barely) gets out of the 8th, no-no intact.

  5. To bring the rest of you up to speed, The Yanx have been no-hit thru 7 by Houston's Cristian Javier An Altuve HR in top 8 made the score 2-0 But at 115 pitches, Javier was pulled in favor of Hector Neris who promptly walked the leadoff hitter. Now one out later, he's threatening to walk the next guy.
  6. So that good news is followed by a pitching change.
  7. Astros need only one 3R HR today to win 3-1 behind Verlander. Last night they hit two 3R HRs but wound up losing 7-6 Verlander, btw, is 39 y/o coming off two seasons of inactivity (six innings pitched total in '20/'21) due to TJS, currently has a sub-2.3 ERA in 14 starts
  8. LAD Reliever Daniel Hudson tries to field a swinging bunt but collapses in a heap as his left knee seems to buckle. Not finishing this game and might be missing for a while in my totally un-expert opinion.

  10. I think this gets flipped And it does!! Bye Bye Berti
  11. Those two dudes are fun to watch.
  12. Dodgers leaving runners on all over the place but still lead 4-0 in the 6th
  13. Coulda been worse
  14. Now the High Noon showdown vs Garrett Cooper
  15. With Alcantara maybe rattled, Lindor dancing off 2nd trying to keep the pressure on..
  16. Great non-tag by Marte at 1st as the other two were (properly) tagging.
  17. The shot showing the 2B ump making an out call must have come from the Miami TV call. The PIX feed showed nothing and a non call there is the same as a safe call and therefore no sympathy for Nimmo
  18. Phils are in SD this weekend, Braves, meanwhile, are hosting the Dodgers where a pre-game tribute to the returning Freddie has him crying on the field. oe: and now he's trying to take his AB but it's taking a while
  19. 'twould be nice if Taijuan could, y'know, retire a batter.
  20. Mattingly's going to use the first of his eight challenges on this pickoff.
  21. Lindor HRs and the home crowd loves it!!
  22. Facing Sandy Alcantara is not exactly what I had in mind coming off 2x losses. But that'll make the W that much sweeter when they get it.
  23. =G-Fafif post_id=97155 time=1656038099 user_id=55] I hate that the MFYs came from behind to win, but I'm so delighted to have seen the heretofore impenetrable Astro bullpen crack.
  24. Yanx win. Astros pitchers faced eight batters in the 9th and threw maybe a combined five strikes ... and four of those went for hits. Fuckin' pathetic!
