  1. - Two NYM hits - Four BAL leadoff hitters on base in 7 innings. - Three of the seven runs scored with two outs. - and then there's the 35-ft hit which scored a runner from 2nd

  3. We, on the other hand, don't do two out RBIs.
  4. Seems like we've been giving up a lot of two-out runs lately.
  5. In Red Sox @ Astros Monday night, Boston's Jarren Duran HR'd on the first pitch of the game. Then, with one out in the 9th and the game tied at 4-4, Houston's Yainer Diaz HR'd for a walk-off win on the final pitch of the game. That probably hasn't happened too often. Gio Urshela, just released by the Tigers on Sunday, quickly signed a ML deal with the Braves Tuesday morning who needed a quick replacement for Austin Riley. Urshela is a good fielder but he's obviously not going to be the same bat even compared to a down-year Riley.
  6. They wanted to but realized that moving the RF wall wasn't going to be a tough as moving Boog himself so they left it alone.
  7. =Cowtipper post_id=167060 time=1724183471 user_id=166] Garrett was very much the same way, then he fell apart. Peterson might a house of cards, too. I don't know, I have more faith in him now than I had in Garrett then, when he was doing well.
  8. As Gary mentioned several times last night re: Peterson, the WHIP (1.36) and the ERA (3.00) don't exactly match up so you wonder if he's being a wee bit fortunate. But the longer it continues the more you start to think that maybe he has a knack for it.
  9. I doubt it. Swinging while you're ahead by multiple runs late in a game on 3-0 is more in the breaching etiquette vein. But most of that stuff has gone the way of the dodo bird in recent years and in tie games in the 9th inning there's no such thing.

  13. OK, here's where home field advantage kicks in, we've got two ABs to their one.

  15. What's this 'you have to declare' shit? Ronnie just talked about having to declare whether you're going to pitch from the stretch or the windup with a runner on 3rd WHY?

  17. Edgy MD wrote: Peterson at 71 pitches through five is helpful. Yeah, although Mendy has shown a quick hook with Peterson even when RA and pitch counts are low.
  18. Series to start off the week: - Diamondbacks @ Miami Currently 7-4 Snakes in the 7th Then starting Tuesday night - Phillies @ Braves - Brewers at Cardinals - Twins @ Padres - White Sox @ Giants - Mariners @ Dodgers And over in that other league: Guardians @ Yanx (in a not as rare as it used to be NYM & NYY at home simultaneously)
  19. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Kingston obsessed withe pitch count but otherwise 👍 He also, like, said like a lot, like all the time.
  20. Not particularly thrilled with that bunt. Marte also tried bunting with 2 outs and no one on in his first AB
  21. And in his spare time Kingston is working on nuclear fusion.
  22. btw, the name of the Baltimore CF is Colton Cowser, not Cowtipper as the lineup above suggests. That would indeed be a tough handle to live down.
