  1. "Coors. The ban-quit beer."
  2. I'll give Jerry kudos for learning from a mistake... last night, he pinch ran Francoeur for Carter in the 8th. He could have used Castillo, arguably faster than Francoeur, but that would have left him without the option to PH for Tejada if he wanted to. On Sunday, he PH Castillo in the 5th which left him without a backup middle IF so he felt that he had to let Tejada bat in the 9th (when he could have PH Hessman). This is obvious stuff but Jerry didn't get it on Sunday and he got it last night so good for him. (I added "middle" before IF. Hessman's an IF but plays 1B/3B. The point is the same.)
  3. Besides finding a spot for Misch, they have to make a decision about Sean Green who is at the end of his rehab assignment (but has one option left). Hopefully this will force them to get rid of Perez.
  4. Our thanks to the COL mgr. for walking Beltran, .195, to pitch to Reyes. Even Jerry was thinking "that guy over manages."
  5. Standing O for Pelf! Now get him a run.

  8. Bo, with the sideways monstrosity of a baseball cap, should have thrown himself in front of the ball to protect his cute girlfriend.
  9. I enjoyed the girls doing the sarcastic tomahawk chop: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2010_08_09_atlmlb_houmlb_1&mode=wrap
  10. You mean that a team that is losing a lot of games can fire their manager? Come on! Next you'll tell me that they can get rid of their GM, too! And "eat" the salary of an under performing player that is taking up a roster spot. That's crazy talk!

    I Give Up

  12. Sonofabitch. No Howard, Utley and Victorino and they still lose 2 of 3.
  13. Way to put the kid in a 2 strike hole Jerry. Idiot.
  14. Keith with the shot at Castillo and/or Cora: showing Tejada's great turn on the DP, he said "there's something we haven't seen in awhile, someone staying in there."
  15. Phillies fans are so happy, they're puking all over each other to celebrate.
  16. Beltran needs to get his head out of his FUCKING ASS!

  18. David with the eyebrow raise. Always makes us laugh.
  19. I didn't want to start it as LWFS is on a winning streak. What a thrilling inning!
  20. July 2, Mets @ Washington--bases loaded triple. Sparked the team to a win (Tejada picked off a runner at 2B to end it).
  21. You're off the hook Jerry. Santana, you're a man. Phillies TV shows 2 Mets fans nervously smiling with 2 outs, 2 strikes in the 9th: "they weren't smiling last night." Tom McCarthy, F.U.

  24. I went to see Derek Jeter get shot tonight in "The Other Guys" (I almost applauded) so I missed most of this mess. Regardless of whether the decision to pull Niese was right, all Parnell and P. Feliciano have to do is get three outs. Parnell got 21 one of them. The offense didn't do enough against Blanton and Jerry may have made another lousy decision but Parnell and Feliciano are the goats tonight.
