He refused to change his number in ST until he made the team. He sucked, then had a good week, management said "there's our guy!", he changed his number, and reverted to sucking.

The Bisons are trying to emulate the Mets. In the 1st game of today's DH (7 innings), the Bisons were no-hit until the bottom of the 7th when Kirk Nieuwhenhaus hit a leadoff HR. But in the top of the 8th and Manny Acosta pitching: walk, sac, throwing error by Acosta on a pick-off attempt, sac fly (lead run scores without a hit). Nick Evans HR'd in the bottom of the 8th to tie it again. Paulino has made 2 throwing errors. Evans with a walk-off HR in the 10th to win it.

And why did Turner bat in the 8th instead of Hairston?

That's a good ad. I've been unsuccessful in trying to find out who the actors are. Thing is, it's from last year as are all of the SNY ads. The only thing new are the PSAs.

I'm sick of Guys. They used to go to him 2 or 3 times a game but now they're up to 4 or 5 as they try to distract us from thinking about how badly the Mets are playing. And something always happens when he's talking. Save him for rain delays, pre and post-game, etc. but enough w/Guys already.

The bases were loaded and with the Mets lack of hitting, the game was on the line. Parnell has not been good so this wasn't the opportunity to hope that he showed improvement. He gave up 3 runs and the game was over right there. Terry should have brought in Isringhausen.

Terry's better PH, Murphy, and better RP, Isringhausen, didn't get in the game and the players that were used didn't come through. Sometimes you shouldn't save your "bullets" for later in the game.

Fman99: I don't know who decides which feed is used on the cable version of Extra Innings but it's the same feed for all non-satellite customers (so venting to FIOS won't help). If there is a slot for one game, it's usually the home feed unless the home team is on broadcast TV (e.g. WPIX) and the visitor is on cable. When the Mets are on the road, you can sometimes get lucky, such as the 2d game of the DH last night (if you call watching that game lucky). When they were in Philadelphia, the 1st 2 games used the SNY feed and the 3d used the Phillies feed. After the hockey playoffs, they sometimes have both feeds. It's hard to figure it out sometimes and, again, I don't know where the decisions are made. I've asked on a board for TV sports and nobody had an answer.

Was that Emaus' last game as a Met? Gee can stay when they send Pelfrey to the minor (I can hope). One of the RPs needs to go when Bay returns to get another bat on the bench. Now for a Rangers win and a Knicks win.
