  1. Wouldn't it be something if the LAAofA swept these three games to cut the MFYs WC lead from 7 to 4?
  2. Lame attempt at irreverence from the only newspaper that matters, only than the one MGIM writes for.
  3. JCL--yes about the bunt. Good call tonight from Terry and a good job by Duda who probably hasn't bunted very often.
  4. Not thrilled w/the attempted bunts from Pagan.
  5. Terry's being very fair, letting everybody play everywhere.
  6. If Constanza gets up again, I hope they buzz him for that lousy slide.
  7. Should Murphy be sitting, even against a LHP? Or does the need to give Evans a start override that? I'm glad that Hairston is getting a start.
  8. Two ABs in a row where Bay was up with a runner on 2d and nobody out and didn't advance the runner.
  9. Edgy's happy: Evans up, Nickeas down.
  10. Maybe Sandy will now try to make some deals.
  11. Way to step up Mets.
  12. Pagan is woefully undisciplined at the plate. He is the hitting equivalent of Murphy's fielding.
  13. Pagan and Bay are such great hitters that they don't need to work the pitcher so they both swing at the first pitch? Idiots.

  15. The fun begins at 7:55.
  16. Get immunized for meningococcal meningitis, dance around a playground with Tito Puente Jr. (I see more public service ads on Extra Innings than the NYkers do on SNY.)
  17. Four awful games in a row. All could have gone either way but the Mets found a way to lose each one.
  18. Text, drive, die.
  19. Sandy got him for nothing and probably could have got something for him but kept him to tutor Parnell... while blowing games.
  20. Jacob Resnick is a better announcer than John Sterling.

  23. I think it was it Guys! who said last night that the Marlins always play well against the Mets. How about the Mets playing better against the Marlins. What a worthless excuse for a major league franchise. They could be contracted tomorrow and how many people would care? Lets see if that new stadium brings a few more fans. And Chris, please buzz Hanley.

When I coached kids baseball, I would tell the boys that they had to pay attention because the ball will find them. One game, the player in RF was inspecting the grass and not paying attention. I told him that the ball would find him and he said "not here." The next batter hit a line drive to RF, my player wasn't watching so it bounced past him for a HR. That player's name was Daniel Murphy. (No it wasn't.)
