He's here! Was he waiting in his car? [tweet:14s1hp7v] [/tweet:14s1hp7v]

    "The Vegans". Nice.

That was an impressive throw. Between that and Nimmo's catch, nice to see the Mets flashing some leather.

I'm surprised that Wednesday's game is at night. The Mets are in MIL on Thursday night which isn't across the country but it's not next door.

    What a weekend!

Nice job by the SNY cameraman to stay with Mesoraco yesterday and Cabrera today to capture their reactions to their no-doubt home runs.

Just like I've been saying--patience is needed on Rosario.

I hope that Dave Eiland was pleased with Noah today.

This is the last team in baseball that can afford to bench a guy that's hitting a homer every other game. And he's crushing those homers, to boot. Especially when you are already starting a minor leaguer at 2B and the backup catcher is also a minor leaguer (and you are playing a plus .500 team today and the Marlins tomorrow).

Let's get this one (even though it's Sunday) and with the Marlins coming into town, it's time to get on a roll (perhaps a bulky roll!).

I agree... but I'm concerned about moving an alleged top-shelf prospect during the season (unless their expectations have been lowered and they are ready to promote Alonso).

Given how Sandy mocked him all winter, I'm surprised that he was able to make it all the way to RF. The alleged "1B of the future" is now OF depth?

After the Nationals lost Howie Kendrick for the season (so sad) they called up Juan Soto. He's one of the top prospects in the game. I saw him in April in Hagerstown (middle A). Since then, he's gone to Potomac (high A) and Harrisburg (AA) and now the majors in a month.

Agreed. Wouldn't Nido be better served by playing in 3 out of 4 games rather than sitting out 3 out of 4 games?

[tweet:3gufqs6k] [/tweet:3gufqs6k] That's former Mets property, Ezequiel Carrera.

    Nicely done.

MdD and Kelly are options but they aren't on the 40-man. Such a choice! However, Sandy said that they might keep 13 pitchers rather than find another OF. This fits Sandy's MO of doing the least amount of work possible.

It didn't seem to bother J.A. Happ... but then again, look at the lineup he is facing.

Another garbage outing by Wheeler. Maybe the Giants knew what they were doing in the Beltran trade. Wheeler would be gone on a team with depth but the Mets depth is Vargas.
  22. bmfc1
I know that catching is hard and that Mesoraco has a history of injuries but with tomorrow's day off, couldn't Meso have played today?
  23. bmfc1
Maybe Dave Eiland was onto something.
