    Dear Mets: Fuck you. 2 good starters and they wasted one of them today. The SS can't hit and can barely field, they don't have anyone at 1B, the 3B has an iron glove, they might as well have a screen behind the plate instead of the sacks of shit that are out there.

    Maybe if the SS who is supposed to be a great fielder made a play he should have made this innning the Mets would still be ahead. But hey, at least Rosario is hitting a ton. --me

    I don't know if there are any contractual restrictions on sending Harvey to the minors but when Vargas returns on Saturday, perhaps Harvey, and not Oswalt, should go to Vegas ("you want to be a starter, then you can start in AAA and we'll call you up when we think you're ready to pitch and act like a major leaguer").

    I am the old man that Fman99 will be which means that I fell asleep after Yo's HR. I did get to see the final outs as a necessary walk was nicely timed to the bottom of the 10th. It would have been great if the ump told Matheny to go f himself instead of granting him a challenge that he no longer had.     A rainout could mean a DH on either May 28, 29 or 30 (perhaps a Memorial Day DH). That's already a stretch with 17 games in 17 days (which is followed by 3 off days in the next 8). Or as Howie just said, on the other side of those 8 days they are back in ATL on June 12 for the 3d time already and there is an off day on June 11 following a Sunday Night game.

    deGrom was great, Reyes got some hits, almost everyone else sucked including the manager. On a scale of 10 out of 10, I'm pissed.

    Here's an idea: maybe you don't use Familia in the 9th after using him in the 8th and try Sewald in the 9th. Frazier is having a dreadful game. Remember that he came up with 0 out, runners on 2d and 3d, and K'd.
