  1. Zzzz. Watching on MASN, listening to Howie on the mlb app. No Josh Lewin so Wayne Randazzo is in the booth and he's not doing very well. I have nothing against him on the pre-and post-game shows, and he's not as bad at announcing as his Uncle is at umpiring, but he's more concerned with yucking it up with Howie than with calling the game.

  3. Scott Rogowsky, HQ Trivia Host, will throw out the first pitch: [tweet:36tw6jes]https://twitter.com/ScottRogowsky/status/1033740655862927362[/tweet:36tw6jes]
  4. Nimmo could be activated today. Who goes? Perhaps Plaw goes on the Paternity List which frees up the spot. BTW, nice picture of Zamora on mets.com. http://m.mlb.com/nym/roster Edgy has a picture of Zamora here but the Mets website does not.

  6. It's 3-0 and the kid got out 4 in a row, let him face the lefty. More over-managing by Mickey.
  7. A late afternoon day game scheduled for the convenience of FS1. If I told you in March that on August 25th the Mets would be 6 1/2 behind WSH, you might have said: "they still have a shot!" You wouldn't have meant, a shot at 3d place.
  8. Vargas and Bruce for the win--just what Sandy had in mind. Too bad it took until the end of August to happen.
  9. Edgy MD wrote: Weird, wild stuff going on with the 2018 roster. Nido is back because Meso is hurt but he's not DL-hurt. Also, Plaw will become a Pa so he's going to be on leave as of Sunday. Bruce is back and he's gotta play so Dom goes (thanks for the homerun!). Reinheimer leaves and Reyes is still here. Unless they get rid of Bruce, this team will find a way to keep Alonso back in Vegas in April.
  10. Pro: not hearing promos for any of the other programming on WOR; not hearing commercials featuring certain WOR hosts. Con: not having Pete McCarthy ease us into the game on the pre-pre-game or help ease our anger on the post-post-game show. Also, as G-Fafif said, we will inevitably have Ed Coleman forced back onto the scene and treated as a reunion
  11. Mickey refuses to stand up for his players and get in the face of an umpire. I have no doubt that they notice.
  12. HahnSolo wrote: Not a big bunting guy, but with Bumgarner on the mound there I could have been talked into a Plawecki bunt with 2 on and nobody out. And yeah, that's a total second guess. Concur.
  13. Keith lefty-batter crush seems to be moving from Conforto to McNeil. Meanwhile, a different Mets catcher screws things up for the Mets. Please sign a real catcher this off-season.
  14. Another blown call by Randazzo. It's not like the leadoff hitter in a 2-0 game is important.
  15. 2 runs today after Jake threw the ball in the strike zone: one was missed by the inept catcher and the other was misread by the inept umpire. No wonder deGrom took it out on the paper cups.
  16. Great job Mesothelioma. You're supposed to catch the ball. It's in the job title. Please trade him for a rosin bag in a waiver deal. The Mets were thrilled to get away from Harvey but they lost that deal.
  17. The game is on MLBN but they are using the SFG feed to so it's back to mlb.tv for me.
  18. Mickey's over-managing like it's June.
  19. Sounds like a nice trip, Hahn Solo.
  20. Night games in ATL start at 7:20 next year? I guess that's another 10 minutes for traffic. EDIT: not another 10 minutes, 15 minutes earlier than this year's 7:35 game time. Howie hoped that the two series in Chicago would be back-to-back, but they are not.
  21. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: July 4 is an off-day. That's some stupid shit. And it's not even a travel day. What the heck? May have something to with MFYs coming in, they are getting extra days off before and after because they are arriving from a London series with Red Sox That's not it: the MFYs go from Citi Field to Tampa for July 4.
  22. July 4 is an off-day. That's some stupid shit. The Mets are getting the MFYs right after their trip to London.
  23. It's good that they didn't call up McNeil earlier because who needs such a good hitter on a powerhouse team?
  24. Back to the Little League, Todd.
