  1. 13-10, bases loaded for SWB, only 1 out, lots of Red Robin coupons being given out with so many runs and hits.
  2. deGrom and Scherzer duel but deGrom gives up a walk and then a HR to Rendon in the 7th, so it's 2-0 WSH going into the 9th (I debate leaving) but Scherzer is replaced (so I stay). With two outs (I again debate leaving but don't)... Rajai pinch-hits and walks, McNeil singles, Alonso hits a 3-run homerun (I go out of my mind). Diaz pitches a 1-2-3 bottom of the 9th and I ride the Metro home, smiling all the way.
  3. No Cano, no Rosario. Cano activated.
  4. Krizan comes through again. He'd be a nice extra bat off the bench for the rest of the month (if only they had a spot on the 40-man for him). You can hear one SWB fan chanting "Mets fans suck!" while many others chant "Lets Go Mets!".

  6. In defense of Ali, a favorite of mine from the spring, he's a defensive C and started the year in A ball so while he's the "woist", we'll see him in Port St. Lucie (if First Data Field hasn't fallen into the sea) in late February. The Syracuse Mets PBP guy is good.
  7. That flyout to RF was caught by Altherr at the fence (https://tunein.com/radio/Syracuse-Mets-Baseball-Network-s198289/?_branch_match_id=692898068113504646https://tunein.com/radio/Syracuse-Mets-Baseball-Network-s198289/?_branch_match_id=692898068113504646). Nice job by Nogosek in relief of Rubelow (who I'd never heard of).
  8. Krizan, 30 years old, has earned a non-roster invitation to 2020 spring training.
  9. Syracuse is up big: https://www.milb.com/gameday/mets-vs-railriders/2019/09/03/608132#game_state=live,game_tab=,game=608132https://www.milb.com/gameday/mets-vs-railriders/2019/09/03/608132#game_state=live,game_tab=,game=608132
  10. Conforto has good numbers against Scherzer but not many do (Adrian Gonzalez does!): http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/28976/max-scherzerhttp://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/28976/max-scherzer Cano with only 3 hits but 2 bombs (including Opening Day).
  11. Here's your Syracuse lineup for this afternoon's tie-breaker game: [TWEET]https://twitter.com/Scooch_00/status/1168909123481681922/photo/1https://twitter.com/Scooch_00/status/1168909123481681922/photo/1[/TWEET]
  12. They have a good team with some of the best young players in the league but the attendance is near the bottom of the game: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/the-nationals-have-been-fun-for-months-now-but-you-wouldnt-know-it-by-looking-at-the-stands/2019/09/02/66ac9f02-cdab-11e9-8c1c-7c8ee785b855_story.htmlhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/the-nationals-have-been-fun-for-months-now-but-you-wouldnt-know-it-by-looking-at-the-stands/2019/09/02/66ac9f02-cdab-11e9-8c1c-7c8ee785b855_story.html Their fans are whining about the number of Mets fans who were there yesterday. Too bad.
  13. You are correct: https://www.syracuse.com/sports/2019/09/syracuse-mets-force-playoff-for-north-division-title.htmlhttps://www.syracuse.com/sports/2019/09/syracuse-mets-force-playoff-for-north-division-title.html

  15. I'll be in the minor-league facility known as "Nationals Park" on Tuesday night to see deGrom and the other guy.
  16. Excellent point Edgy. I guess Mickey wanted to reward Luis for the perfect sac bunt.
  17. There was a comment pre-game that the Mets want Lowrie to have more work in the minors but the minor league season is ending so they needed good results from AAA--and they are happening. Buffalo defeated SWB and Syracuse is up 8-3 in the 8th so they'll play a tie-breaker game tomorrow night. Lowrie was 2 for 3 today. Jason Krizan continues to crush the ball. He's a 30-year old prospect so perhaps he'll have some use as an extra OF'er next year. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=607249#/career/R/hitting/2019/ALLhttp://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=607249#/career/R/hitting/2019/ALL
  18. Night game/day game, so no Ramos. Tomorrow is a night game, Ramos. Wednesday is a day game... if you sit Ramos that means he hasn't played in 2 out of 4 games. It's also supposed to be over 90 degrees in DC on Wednesday but Thursday is a day off.
  19. Mickey called back JD Davis to be used... NEVER! Mickey didn't bring in Diaz so he could be used... NEVER! Idiot.
  20. He had already used Avilan and Sewald (he's good at the moment). Lugo and Wilson were not available (I guess that they are being rested for the playoffs). Randazzo was right (something I don't usually say): Diaz was the move at that point.
  21. McNeil doesn't look right but I'm sure he's handling his slump well.
  22. Nimmo runs to 1st after a walk and Conforto makes the safe sign.
  23. Sam Haggerty was acquired with Walter Lockett for Pawlecki which means that BVW can say that he got 2 major leaguers for a backup catcher. Haggerty wore 88 in Spring Training and didn't have his name on his jersey so when he played during the last few innings of the first 2 weeks of spring games you went "who is that guy?" He's a Met now. He also played in Brooklyn, Binghamton, and Syracuse this year so he's seen it all.
  24. I love the look on Ramos' face (from Newsday): https://cdn.newsday.com/polopoly_fs/1.35710415.1567304157!/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_768/image.jpg>
