  1. Figueroa 2 Beltran .5 Clark 1 Pagan - .5
  2. Maine 3 Sanchez 1 Chavez 1
  3. Sorry , I just refused to watch any movie with Renee Zellweger in it , I hate all those pouty faces she makes...very annoying.
  4. Jocketty needs to fire Dusty's useless ass and bring in Bobby Valentine to mange those youngsters .
  5. With these numbers he's a HOF player IMO. http://www.baseball-reference.com/s/smoltjo01.shtml
  6. Can't have been fun working as a dead man walking, should Dusty be worried?
  7. ] The Nationals fans are only now realizing that their team is bad. As a DC area resident and partial Nationals season ticket holder, I monitor a Nationals board. Throughout spring training, I was amazed to see that their fans were not concerned with the composition of the team. The fans were only concerned with the new park, what food would be served, where their seats were, and how they would get there. Only lately have the fans starting to bemoan the fact that their team is made up primarily of prospects and castoffs. Egomaniac and blowhard GM Jim Bowden has called the team out for underperforming but hes the one that assembled them. Of course, as we so painfully learned last September, even prospects and castoffs can beat our team. Great KTE , I suppose when the novelty of the new Park wears off they will become more concerned with the on-field product and not care so much about the concessions , I think.
  8. Willie thought Figgi deserved better defense.
  9. Everyone here is going to the game? , is there a bus leaving form the city?
  10. I've not seen any of this series really , I have family out from Ireland and spent the day at the Bronx Zoo , I swear I saw Hank in the Gorilla enclosure.
  11. Tonight in the third inning he struck out Felipe Lopez for 3,000 career strikeouts , Smoltz becomes the 16th pitcher to reach 3,000. I have always enjoyed watching Smoltz pitch , so crafty yet can still dial it up to high heat. Anyway congrats on 3,000.
  12. it will be fun , right now JC is about unhittable coming from the pen, what will happen if he's moved to the rotation and he starts getting hammered , and it's not like they can just move him just because Wank says so , would he not need to get some stars in the minors first?
  13. Baltimore.
  14. Posting this because it's also German and ridiculous..
  15. I know he has slumped since the first week but he still had 3 HR and 11 RBI , I'm sure he'll find a home with another AL team.
  16. ] The 21-year-old is without a question the best German player at the moment WOW , That's high praise.

He says it's time for Joba Chamberlain to join the starting rotation. With only two-fifths of the rotation pitching well - Phil Hughes (0-3), Ian Kennedy (0-2) and Mike Mussina (1-3) are struggling - Steinbrenner has seen enough. New rules for Joba! And now! In a story posted on The New York Times' Web site last night, Steinbrenner said: "I want him as a starter and so does everyone else, including him, and that is what we are working toward and we need him there now ... You don't have a guy with a 100-mile-per-hour fastball and keep him as a setup guy. ... You have to be an idiot to do that ... The mistake was already made last year switching him to the bullpen out of panic or whatever. I had no say in it last year and I wouldn't have allowed it ... The starting rotation is not what I would have chosen at the beginning of the year, but that is not a big news flash to anyone." Chamberlain, who missed five games to be with his ailing father in Nebraska, has pitched only 6 1/3 innings this season as the setup man.
  18. I have listened to his show a few times on iTunes , it's pretty good and worth a download.
  19. Carter went in as an Expo in 2003. http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/hofers/detail.jsp?playerId=112061
  20. Perhaps Carter should have taken the Binghamton Mets job, never know where that would have led.
  21. Figueroa 3 Heilman 1 Wagner 1 Sanchez 1 Smith 1 Sosa 1 Delgado 1 Easley 1
  22. Santana 4 Wright 3 Schneider 1 Wagner 1 Church 1

  25. Schoenweiss was going to be the long man if the game continued , we need Wise for such situations. Want to give Gary Cohen credit for calling it right on Hanrahan , when he saw him warming up he remarked how dicey him coming out of the pen might be with how wild he can be.
