  2. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Let's just make them regret it instead. How hard could it be? Yeah , really . It's kind of like Nate Robinson going to the Celtics , Robinson is a dick and Nelly isn't but they are not all that terribly important.
  3. Dude And that is where the Mets come in. With GM Omar Manayas reign almost assuredly coming to an end, a new GM will probably want a new field manager. Who better to restore the Mets franchise than Torre? And what better way is there for Torre to stick it to the Yankees after offering him a pay cut in his last negotiation? Seo , take yer bike over there and slap this fella.....talk about making stuff up. I could think of one man better than Torre to restore the franchise should that route be taken.

  5. The happy dancing kid will always welcome re-activation to the majors: He's back! I missed him.
  6. Glad to say we have never watched the Teletubbies. Another thing to be left behind is complaining about the #42 in the rotunda , it's there and will remain so .
  7. I like it , really good work.
  8. Buckets old man to signal a sweep should not be left behind though.
  9. I'm dying over here in Valhalla. Thank you Wayne Coffey for inspiring Greg....or should I think jeter?
  10. Wasn't Coffey the guy working on a Willie Randolph book and then had to shelf it after Willie got cruelly fired on the west coast late at night in a seedy part of town?
  11. Homers in a Met Career =#FF8000]David Wright Projected to End of Season: 302 1) Darryl Strawberry: 252 2) Mike Piazza: 220 3) Howard Johnson: 192 4) Dave Kingman: 154 5) David Wright: 141 David Wright at start of Season: 140 6) Carlos Beltran: 127 7) Todd Hundley: 124 8) Kevin McReynolds: 122 9) Edgardo Alfonzo: 120 10) Ed Kranepool: 118 Runs Batted in a Met Career =#FF8000]David Wright Projected to End of Season: 885 1) Darryl Strawberry: 733 2) Mike Piazza: 655 3) Howard Johnson: 629 4) Ed Kranepool: 614 5) David Wright: 563 =#0040FF]David Wright at Start of Season: 561 6) Edgardo Alfonzo: 538 7) Cleon Jones: 521 8) Keith Hernandez: 468 9) Carlos Beltran: 466 10) Kevin McReynolds: 456 Obviously, projections based on the rate somebody produces after one game has little meaning, but it's worth noting that second place on the team's RBI list is within reach for the guy this season. I forget at times just how freaking good Wright is and has been. Beltran too if he gets back and stays healthy has a good shot at moving up on both lists.
  12. Move to Washington DC man. More to the point, what does Fboy think?
  13. That will definitely motivate Pagan .
  14. Carolyn & the Nats are now BFF...OMFG....AYFKM...IDTBK in the pic above me LOLS
  15. Benjamin Grimm wrote: They put your face on the Gold Glove award? Or did Keith do that on his own after he received it? (I wouldn't put that past him at all.) Good question , and would they update the face for a multiple winner like keith or use the same one?
  16. What about public holidays , will they be counted or not?
  17. Santana 3.25 Wright 1.75 Barajas 1 Bay 1 Francoeur 1 Matthews 1 Nieve 1
  18. I nominate Ben Grim as the official forum counter of new Mets.(it's get confusing when he has to correct ya'll)
  19. Frayed Knot wrote: 'Shea Bridge' does sound a bit like some young actor who starts out getting all the teen heart-throb roles and is the star of the gossip pages before his career eventually stalls when he grows out of his "cuteness". Years later he will time his attempted comeback with an announcement - to the surprise of absolutely no one - that he's a proud gay American and that the hot starlets he was seen with all those years ago were just a concoction of studios to bolster his box-office image, but now he's glad to no longer be living a lie. His comeback goes nowhere. BOC....
  20. That was a great play, Konerko was great in his explanation as to his thinking.....basically expect Buerhle to do the unexpected and that's why he was rooted to first base. Also , a lot of chatter here yesterday about GMJ in CF but watching the game last night that was a pretty tough wind swirling out there. I thought he did good in battling it.
  21. Bill Shea Bridge rolls of the tongue sounding better than Shea Bridge.
