  1. Sign Shin-Soo Choo? That's a mouthful.

Cohorts of Don who played for Baylor? Brett's buddies who went to Butler? I'm pretty sure Mayo, Ozzie and Reggie never had it happen. Tim Byrdak went to Rice...will we see him this year?
  3. Storms and showers where I am (about 2.5 hours NW of Chicago) all morning. More rain expected.

  8. I bought it around the first of the year. I'm guessing they had it published for X-mas sales.
  9. I have a 2013 Mets mini-calendar that features RA as I flip to May. January: Jason Bay February: Josh Thole April: Andres Torres The only current Met I have looked at so far this year was Jon Niese in March.

Dang.

  12. Marcum has usually been pretty good when he has been healthy. This will be the 150th start of his career and he has a lifetime 3.71 ERA as a starter. He very rarely gets blown out...but he's not likely to pitch a shutout either. If the offense can help a little, he should keep the team in most games he starts.
  13. I listen to Ghomeshi's CBC show nearly everyday. It's on our local NPR at 5pm. He usually has very good stuff.
  14. I think it was specifically that he didn't want Duda thinking he had to hit home runs every time just because he is in the clean-up spot...but rather for him to keep on keeping on as he has. Bunk? Maybe...but the 4 hole has a certain perceived description attached to it whether it's valid or not. Yes, in a vacuum it shouldn't matter. I don't know that Duda's head is a vacuum.
  15. Duda moved to clean-up after Collins said earlier in the week that he didn't want to mess with a guy going so well. Good move? 17. Mark Ellis? C'mon!
  18. Dickey has sucked in the AL for years.
