  1. The MLB Shop does not have them as a pre-made option (only STANTON, SUZUKI, FERNANDEZ and GORDON seem to be available), but they do allow customization. The site throws back an error if you add 24 of them to the shopping cart, though...so Edgy may be right.
  2. Alas, there are no more mid-week day games left this regular season, IIRC. Monday, September 7th is a 1:05 start at Washington, but that is Labor Day.
  3. Rusty from Vegas Vacation complicates this summer's Vacation universe feedback loop while driving an Infiniti with Christie Brinkley.
  4. Edgy MD wrote: 2) If the batter is the box, he has some obligation to be ready; David Wright usually has one foot out of the box as he does that booger-wiping thing; Yes...this is essentially what Leiter was saying on MLB Network. Of course, he used Jeter as an example with his hand up toward the ump indicating time out so that he could dig in.
  5. Al Leiter was defending Robles on MLB Network later in the night...basically saying if the batter is in the box he better be ready to hit. Bowa's a boob.
  6. Sitting Granderson against the lefty yesterday was big in my book. It finally convinced me that he may know what he's doing now that he has so many parts to play with in the lineup.
  7. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Glad to see that tonight's game made the list before it was even played. It's nice to know beforehand that the game will be a good one. Yeah...spoiler alert. LOL That's supposed to be Aug 24.
  8. One and two are still the Friday and then the Sunday in the most recent series with the Nats. I'm a sucker for walk-offs, so after that would be most of those, plus the Cespedes game the other night, but last night's is on the list for sure. In no particular order after one and (maybe) two: Friday, Jul 31 Sunday, Aug 2 Tuesday, Aug 25 Sunday, Jul 26 Saturday, Jun 27 Thursday, Jun 11 Monday, May 18 Tuesday, May 26 Monday, Jun 15 Friday, Aug 21
  9. It was a great game. The Flores walk-off has been the best of the season so far...but this one is in the running for my second favorite.
  10. I'm Collins-neutral. But that is a step up from where I was on him just a few weeks ago and at the beginning of the season. I'm glad he's getting the chance to compete after years of rarely having a full roster to work with.
  11. Per Metsblog, LHP Dario Alvarez will go back to Las Vegas and Verrett will stay when David comes back tomorrow.
  12. Agreed. He could be very useful down the stretch.
  13. I welcome the return of this metric!
  14. Per Metsblog: Metsblog wrote: The Mets made another deal with the Braves, acquiring INF/OF Eric Young Jr. for cash considerations, the team announced Saturday. Young, 30, will report to Triple-A Las Vegas. He hit .169 with no home runs and five RBIs in 35 games in the majors this year, and .248 with one home run and 27 RBIs in 67 minor-league games. The Mets acquired Kelly Johnson and Juan Uribe from Atlanta last month.
  15. 2.88 ERA in 13 starts since June 1. Bravo, Jon.
  16. Edgy MD wrote: Edgy MD wrote: Somebody poke that man/woman in the Phillies hat. I'm getting creeped out. Am I the only one who noticed this wan, androgynous, haunting figure sitting directly behind the catcher motionless, head tilted back, staring into the gray distance? Nope, I noticed. I, too, was creeped out.
  17. Ceetar wrote: Nats still control their own destiny, when they don't is when it gets real. Agreed.
  18. Since Conforto was called up: Conforto: 54 AB, 12 H, 2 HR, 10 RBI, .222/.328/.407/.736 Lagares: 42 AB, 13 H, 1 HR, 8 RBI, .310/.348/.524/.872 Plus Lagares has more speed and plays better defense. If it comes down to these two, I'd rather have Lagares for the week. I agree that Uribe (and Johnson) needs to step it up, but it seems unlikely that a veteran will be removed.
  19. I don't think Noah will catch up in the overall race, but I hope he keeps up his pace (and for Jungmann to fall back a bit). It would be nice for the Mets to have the best rookie pitchers in the NL for two years running.
  20. I like keeping Laggy up for the late inning pinch-running and defense he provides (just like last night in Baltimore).
  21. I'd rather go with one less pitcher, but I'm guessing it will be Conforto until 9/1.
  22. It's very encouraging to see Duda at 1B and not DH.
  23. Yeah, it seems as if they are stretching the rules. "Elbow fatigue" is the official injury...though it appears "ineffectiveness" would be a better diagnosis. I'm not sure what the Mets were expecting from Parnell since his rehab appearances were very similar to what he was able to do in the majors.
