  1. I think with Emaus gone, Hairston may want to start looking over his shoulder.
  2. KABOOM!! Carlos!
  3. Another nice defensive play to quash a jam. Thole!
  4. Niese has been better, but the infield (Turner excluded) has helped him out a few times. The walks. Ugh.
  5. The 1-6-3 DP is pretty nice too. C'mon O! Score some runs!
  6. Gary said it was 5u. It was a nice play by David no matter what.
  7. FC E4 5U Don't see that too often.
  8. Part of me thinks that Emaus may not have been the #1 pick for 2B out of the gate, but due to his Rule 5 status, he got the first chance to fail. I like the quick hook that this management team has in comparison to the "waiting for them to come around" attitude of the past. Too quick? Maybe. But I can't say that I don't agree. Boyer and Emaus, thanks for playing...who's next?
  9. See...I told you he'd be here. Great job, Fman!
  10. While waiting for a KTE, here are some tidbits from today's media guide: Houston and New York each have a 5-11 season record, however the Mets started off 4-4 and have gone 1-7 since while the 'Stros started off 1-7 but have split their last 8 games 4-4. Michael Bourne is 7 for 7 in Stolen Bases attmpts this season He has reached safely in 12 straight games and in 51 of his last 53 games dating back to last season. Carlos Lee leads the majors in outfield assists with 4. Astros pitchers are batting .286 in 2011, tops in the majors (the Mets are second at .200).
  11. I didn't find much to like about Emaus. I have no problem with this move, however, I'm not optimistic about finding much to like about Turner. I let Muffy sink or swim at this point.
  12. He'll prolly bump his head on the overhead compartment of one of the plane rides and be out another six weeks with concussion-like symptoms.
  13. Unfortunately, with K-Rod the debate goes beyond baseball skills and financial options. I think even if Frankie was the best closer in baseball (which he is not) and Sandy worked out a steal of a deal on an extension (which I doubt he would be able to do), Alderson would be run out of town because the majority of the fanbase dislikes K-Rod so much for his off the filed incident. I think they cut and run from K-Rod as soon as the first opportunity presents itself. I don't see many possibilities where K-Rod wears a Mets uni in 2012.

  17. My MLB.TV screen says rain delay. I wouldn't be to upset about a day off after yesterday.
  18. ATLANTA Martin Prado, lf Nate McLouth, cf Chipper Jones, 3b Brian McCann, c Dan Uggla, 2b Jason Heyward, rf Alex Gonzalez, ss Freddie Freeman, 1b Derek Lowe, rhp
  19. Great work, LWFS.
  20. Brett Dennen is a guilty pleasure of mine.

  22. I still have a sore spot for the Braves, so I enjoy rooting against them. Time to shine, Stirrup77!
