  1. That was nice for a change. I'd like to order more of these, please.
  2. 10%...I suck at these.
  3. This was inevitable. They have been talking about it for years. At least now any Wild Card team has to play extra games while the Division Winners essentially get a bye. That's a tiny prize for winning the division.
  4. David has two extra base hits tonight and 3 RBI. Why was Happ left in to face Wright? Can we hold a six-run lead?
  5. There's also a mutual option for 2021 worth up to $20 million with a $4 million buyout. I think this makes it all but official that they aren't signing Fielder long-term, which could mean that they are going for broke this year. It's too bad they sold what was left of their farm for Greinke because I'm betting they could use a Reyes rental this season.
  6. 5 year, $105 million extension signed.
  7. Martino gets quoted by SI...as the Mets fall to dead last in their MLB Power Rankings.
  8. Seems like a pretty worthless chat. Both the questions and answers are pretty lame. I now know less about the Mets.
  9. It starts with me. We have to find a way to be honest with ourselves about what kind of team we are. We cant just keep telling ourselves, Oh, were a better team than this. We may not be. And weve got to be honest about that, and identify what were doing wrong, and do it better. Thats the only way you have any real growthIf we keep waltzing through the season and saying, Oh, were better than this, or Weve had some bad breaks, or The umpires are bad, were going to look back and kick ourselves in the butt because weve done nothing about it. Were walking too many guys, were not hitting with runners in scoring position. If you can identify the problem, it doesnt have to be psychologically so overbearing.
  10. After reading the descriptions of the game in this IGT, I'm glad I missed this tilt.
  11. Dickey 1 Isringhausen 1 Murphy 1 Reyes 1 Beltran 1
  12. WOW! I didn't know it was quite that bad in LA.
  13. Keith and Ron both said the '86 NL Championship Series was the best games they were involved in during their careers, which I assume trumps the '86 World Series.
  14. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Which reminds me... I'm getting awfully tired of Kevin Burkhardt paraphrasing in the first person. Last night he did it again, talking about Scott Hairston and his comments about bats made of ash, maple, and birch. A few times during that segment, Kevin would switch between perspectives; "I" would go from meaning, "I, Scott Hairston" to "I, Kevin Burkhardt" and back again. Agreed.
  15. I hear ya, Cee. I am enjoying watching the development of Ike and Thole. They both seem like that even if they are not world beaters, they could both end up being good Mets for a long while. Even if nothing else is going right, I like seeing the kids play. True, Klap sucks, but it sounds like the story of Collins blowing up at Murph could be true.
  16. Sounds like Muffy may be in Terry's doghouse. I hope that didn't influence Collin's decision making on whether or not to use him in the PH spot.

  19. Niese 2 Beltran 1
  20. At least that torture is over. Also, I'll be the one to say that Justin should get a haircut.
  21. Horseshit call!!!
  22. Yeah, I'm not sure why we didn't see Muffy there.
