My gf and I were browsing the 'celebs' you can hire on Cameo who will send out a video message to someone on your behalf. I told my gf, "Hey, It's Chris Mazza" and she said "Who?" and I said, "the dude with GREAT socks" and she knew. Keep on stylin', Chris.

Both good covers with great photos. The Newsday is more understated, the Daily News more rawk 'n roll. ORIGINAL MET DIES is a nice idea, but as a sash over Stro's junk, it's a point-subtracter.

How many of you are as amazed as I am that this didn't leak one way or another last season? Sounds like the Mets knew he was full of shit about stepping in a hole but couldn't quite prove it. Whatever they had was enough for Ces to buckle and not get dragged in the court of public opinion. Trying to think of reasons why Cespedes agrees to this unless they have some kinda goods on him.

The Dodgers have routinely employed 7 or 8 starting pitchers the last few seasons, to cover for injuries and allow the team to manage workloads. I love that approach, but damn, Wacha and Porcello don't exactly scream "quality" to go along with that necessary quantity.

I think the black jerseys and hats look like shit, but I love that the players are hyped on piece of this (or any) segment of Mets history. I'm just remembering that someone gave me the black road jersey back then and I gave it away to charity.

I like how angry Jake looks on a cover about his contract is unresolved, but MAKES NO CENTS captured the whole feel about the Cano trade at the time. I think I remember the Cano rumor thread even started as something like, "but why in the world would we ever trade for that guy?"
