Shit. David Wright pulled up running down the line. Didn't look like he hurt himself, but it certainly looked strange that on a close play, he'd slow up before he hit the bag.
Beauty change-up by Glavine to K Andruw and end the inning. The little smile Andruw Jones always wears has kinda endeared me to him. How can you not like a dude who always looks like he's happy?
Cards and Pirates. This game started like 15 minutes ago and it's already in the 6th, Chris Carpenter working on a perfect game. Dontrelle and the Marlins lead the Reds 2-0 behind a couple of homers, one from Miguel Cabrera.
Hudson looks to have lots of bite on his breaking stuff. He's produced a lot of swings by guys who look like they were completely fooled. Glavine looks very sharp, too. The Mets as a group looking handsome in snow whites and blue caps.
Crap. Oliver's given up a bomb in each of his last two appearances now. He might be carpooling with Julio to Norfolk. At least they can use the HOV lane.
Great diving play by Reyes. He didn't rush the throw and nailed Hardy by plenty. Ends up being a huge play as Jenkins follows with a double. This game coulda been tied.
Very nice. Bannister loads them up and then leaves them all out there, striking out two and getting Hardy to fly out. He's got no command, but he's got nads. Big ones.
Here's the lineup for the Cerveceras, before mlbbaseballguy and myself are both drunk. Weeks and Brady Clark both getting a break today. Gross CF Hardy SS Jenkins RF Lee LF Koskie 3B Hall 2B Fielder 1B Miller C Sheets P
I'm with Elster. Now we gotta game today, boys. Focus, damn it. Endy in. Everybody else up one. Reyes SS Lo Duca C Delgado 1B Wright 3B Floyd LF Nady RF Chavez CF Hernandez 2B Bannister P
