  1. Ugh, Jacobs. I know it's only 6 games and all, but he's a vacuous, sucking, black hole in the middle of this lineup. Not for nothing, but Carter is .273/.385/.727 in 11 AB's in Buffalo and Ike's even better, .400/.571/.900 (yeah, i typed it right) in 10 ABs. Shit, give Tatis a few more ABs. Something. C'mon, Valdez, give us a 1-2-3 and then let's put up a 6-spot on these bitches.
  2. Excellent.

  7. Dude, read it.
  8. Damn, thought that ball was gonna sneak over Maybin's head.
  9. 3 bags for Cora, sac fly Castillo, & bingo-bango, we're even.
  10. Super-impressed w/ the MLB app. Tiny as hell, but it looks awesome. I'm rockin 5 bars on the 3G network, so imagine that helps it from being real pixelated. Maine sort of all over the damn place. Hopefully will sneak out of this w/ only 1 run and then settle it down.
  11. Tonight's game is the MLB At Bat app's TV game. I'm gonna try to watch this shit on my iPhone while I'm at work.

  13. I didn't know who the hell Finch or Mills were. I know I wouldn't want Dusty for sure. Not hot on Riggleman or Tracy either. Dudes seem to love playing for Torre and he wins lots of games, so I think you could do way worse than him. Yankee schmankee whogivesashit, win the baseball games.
  14. I got my Opening Day vote in. I hope to keep up, but I know me, and know that I suck, and probably won't keep up. But I'm gonna try.

  16. Never lived IN New York or anywhere east of the Mississip', so I don't know what the hell it's like to be with the one you love. But when I lived in PHX, adopting the D-backs was never even a thought, and living in the LA area for 12 or 13 years, I never once thought about picking up a mistress, AL or otherwise. I follow the Dodgers more than the Angels because 1) I hate the Angels, 2) Dodgers are NL, and 3) my bro and friends are huge Dodgers peeps. But liking and following ain't the same cut of beef. All the Phoenix peeps I knew who adopted the Snakes didn't care for baseball one way or the other, had no team they loved up til then, and/or really loved wearing purple, all sizable personality defects, sez me.
  17. Jeez, the 90s are a complete haze to me. Terrell Lowry? Vaguely, vaguely remember the name and the Mets were my favorite thing in the whole fuckin world, too. Cool stuff, JCL.
  18. We've had our ESPN-LA for a while. Most times I'm there, it's an accident. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/
  19. Quit babying the guy already and let him play.

  21. You're probably right. The part about him being babied wasn't used with the player's quote, though the player's quote that he used is sorta dumb anyway. Guy from a small market, fighting for a job, who wasn't around last year... Mike Jacobs. (sorry, Mike)
  22. Jose might be ignoring the team on how much or how hard to run, but they put him on the minor league field to try to control stuff like that a little, and it's hard to find fault in that (sez me). A little extra care in ST ain't bad. To the anonymous yapping player, "Shut it."
  23. Apparently hit a ball that bounced off the bag, and then tore into a sprint and head-first dive into second (safe!).
  24. Burkhardt reporting that Jose Reyes is sprinting and diving all over the minor league fields.
  25. Yeah, me, too. And I'm not even Irish.
