My opinion's evolved some on this, but I think it's mostly stereotype. People love their sports and their teams here, just it happens at a different volume than NY and the media coverage is nowhere near as intense.
  2. I missed this shit for a night w/ a chick that didn't pan out anyway. Always choose Mets, dude. Sometimes anyway. Great IGT, peeps.
  3. That guy's a nut. I've got a good friend who's an Indians fan, so I've watched plenty of that dude. He went to prison for a while on some tax-related charges and loves to talk that up during his pre-game thing. He's super noisy and irrational and sensationalist. He'd be great for that "Loudmouths" show.
  4. Billion foot homerun by David Wright and not a peep about it here. Tsk, tsk. Big inning here. I can feel it. No, those are my keys. Nevermind.
  5. Pirdie's middle name is Orville so I now love him.
  6. What the hell's the Big Apple Band?? And who wants to start it up again?

  8. Ah, shit, I'm busted.
  9. A+ job, Lunchbucket. Funny as hell and I learned some junk.
  10. Bravo, dude. That was fantastic. Love the Malachi thing.
  11. I thought Pettite played for a team that was not the Yankees at one time.
  12. I haven't given a shit about the all-star game in years, and when you start making up special rules just for this game, well it becomes some bastard cousin of baseball and I care even less. How long before they institute the Olympic extra-innings crap to prevent players from having to keep playing longer and maybe getting tired, or god-forbid from getting hurt?

So, which one is it? Was dusty baker right even though prior and wood are where they are now? Didn't Rick Peterson avoid drafting Prior because he had an arm angle that was prone to injury or something? Not unless he was working for the Twins. They drafted Mauer #1 and the Cubs got Prior #2.
  14. Can we make this game any more meaningless? Yes, apparently.
  15. How many balls have been hit over the heads of Dodger outfielders this series?
  16. Standing and applauding here in my office. Good game, Johnny Maine.
  17. Fastball - Gooden Curve ball - Gooden. Slider - Turk. Did he throw anything else? Sinker - John Hudek. Not really, Mike Pelfrey. Split finger fast ball - Ron Darling Screw ball - John Franco (is that what he threw??) Change up - Pedro Knuckleball - Springer was the guy, I guess. Any others? Spitball (yeah, I know) - I got nuttin What about a cutter? Leiter's the first dude that pops into my mushy brain. Rick Reed had a killer 2-seamer, too. That ball that would start on the outside to righties and somehow tail back on the black for a strike. Good. What did Paul Wilson throw?
  18. Nevermind me. MLB At Bat was telling me this was a 1:10 start. Laundry now. See ya!
  19. I cant find this game anywhere on Direct. Anyone know where the hell I can find it?
  20. What the hell am I supposed to do tonight now?
