  1. Cub fans are acting like douchebags.
  2. Kluber hasn't looked sharp all game, even when he's gotten outs. I'm amazed that Terry F. hasn't gotten someone (Shaw? Salazar? ) up in the pen yet.
  3. Indians fans sing the José, José, José song for José Ramirez.
  4. A solid 20% Cub fans here at the park. And a cop mistook my Fafif shirt for a Cub shirt.

Manfred has already scheduled a meeting with the Dolans (yes, they're related to the MSG Dolans somehow) during the off-season. I think management as well as the city would love to have political cover from the Commisioner to retire Chief Wahoo; it's an embarrassment to a city that's finally started making itself look good after three quarters of a century of near-continuous civic embarrassments. There is, of course, a reactionary segment of the fan base (every fan base has a reactionary segment) that wants to keep the Chief, partially out of a desire to cling to traditions and partially from the general "fuck you" attitude that most of us take when pressured to change, even if change happens to be the right thing. I give it another couple of years. Then a respectful retirement, and maybe a special exhibit on the Chief in the Indians HoF, where they could have a discussion about traditions while recognizing that what was cool in 1950 is ugly and racist in the 21st century.

Prolly away from any cameras, but I'll be the only guy in the park with an Indians cap and a Fafif t-shirt. Crowd at the 811 Prospect bar still screaming on every pitch. Nobody's conceded this game yet.

So I'm getting her ticket. If the Indians are up 3-2 after game 5, my rooting interest for Game 6 has now become seriously conflicted. YhMbFxsc9z0
  8. Don't know if this got beyond the Cleveland media and went national... http://fox8.com/2016/10/28/indians-fans-create-wedding-registry-for-joe-buck-and-cubs-kyle-schwarber/
  9. Corey Kluber, American hero* *OK, Northeast Ohioan hero.
  10. Well, yay (for those of us who are rooting for the Tribe).
  11. Did they call that an E on Napoli? It was a tough hop.
  12. Yeah, I've lost track, but I think the pitcher's spot is fifth or sixth up in the 9th inning. And I'm almost certain that Terry F. just burned through his last position player.
  13. A double switch? The Indians are out of position players, I think.
  14. That's a tough right field to play. But, no, Chisenhall isn't an asset out there.
  15. The Indians are quickly running out of bench. If this goes into extras, they're screwed.
  16. Coco Crisp, fortified with 9 essential vitamins and one big RBI.
  17. Bunting. Bunting ahead of your worst hitting position player and your pitcher. FIRE TERRY!!!!

  19. Indians are looking positively Metly with RISP tonight.

He's never played outfield before, but his bat is too good to sit (34 regular season homers, regular season OBP up in the .370s, 2 HRs in the Jays series), so he's muddling through left field while Coco Crisp is benched. The Indians' regular lineup is very DH-dependent. OE - I stand corrected; he played four innings of LF in 2012.
  21. If it were the Mets, no question I'd be rooting for a quick end to the WS over a chance to see Game 7. For my AL cheat team, there's less of a pull. And my buddy has said that he'd still root for the Indians to win 6, Game 7 ticket or not.
  22. My old college roommate - a native Clevelander and Indians fan now living in the DC area - just called me to say his wife has to work and can't make the trip to Cleveland to go to Game 7 with him. So I'm getting her ticket. If the Indians are up 3-2 after game 5, my rooting interest for Game 6 has now become seriously conflicted.
  23. Indians fans are living the high life. The plaza behind the ballpark smells mainly like cannabis.
  24. Yeah, that's the Indians' strength. And good starting pitching, though most of it is injured. And Andrew Miller out of the bullpen. Santana, who's made a career out of being slow and on-basey, hit 34 HRs out of nowhere. And Tyler Naquin is up there with Michael Fullmer in the AL ROY conversation. But the Indians have major holes, particularly at catcher. The corner outfielders, Coco Crisp and Lonnie Chisenhall, are meh. I'm root, root, rooting for my adopted home team, but I'm picking the Cubs in 5.
  25. The ALCS is a tough ticket, and the people I know with season ticket plans didn't win the ticket lottery. So I watched the last few innings from home. But I was biking around downtown this afternoon and got a few shots of the area around Progressive Field. a20161015_125502.jpg[/attachment:decslxi1]a20161015_125325.jpg[/attachment:decslxi1]a20161015_125202.jpg[/attachment:decslxi1]
