  1. Wait, you didn't like The Quick and the Dead?
  2. I would root for individual performances from the Mets I expect to be part of the team in 2007. For instance, assuming it is an all-prospect game, I would be rooting for Lastings Milledge to hit 4 HR's but the Mets lose on a late-inning error by Brian Daubach.
  3. Well, this is good news...Deputy GM Jim Duquette said the same day that the surgery - which Beltran preferred not to have - might not cause him to miss much, if any, time. He's officially listed as day-to-day, with a decision about whether he will undergo surgery expected as soon as today. For what it's worth, I think he should get the surgery. Not trying to minimize the severity of going under the knife, but the last thing you want is permanent damage as a result of this collision. Besides Carlos, when you get surgery they give you ice cream.
  4. Anyone listening to FAN? Do we know what happened with the doctors today?
  5. I always figured that the Mets would get their first no-hitter in a game where they lost 1-0 with the other team scoring their run on an error.
  6. Martinez - 6Diaz - 2.5Wiliams 1.5
  7. My stomach hurts again.
  8. Seo - 6Williams - 2Castro - 2
  9. My stomach hurts.
  10. This game is starting to look like one of those punch in the stomach losses.
  11. After falling behind Choi and eventually giving up a single, Heilman hits Izturis to force in a run. Come on Aaron.
  12. They say Carlos is on his way to the team hotel. No word on when we can expect him back. The fact that they haven't given us a more solid ETA is getting a bit worrisome.
  13. No. It's Gary Sheffield.
  14. From today's Times:Floyd stayed in the game mainly because the Mets had so few healthy outfielders left on their roster. X-rays on Floyd's knee were negative and he plans to play Friday against the Dodgers. Beltran will probably need some time to clear his head.
  15. Why the sudden panic? It doesn't seem like Beltran is going to be out for very long...and while the injury to Cammy hurts, we have an able replacement in Diaz ready to take his place.Cliffy is day to day, and Roberto appears to be fine. All things considered, I think things could have been a lot worse. We're still only 4 games out of the wild card, we get a chance to see what Diaz can do, and Matsui, Seo and Trachsel are here to give us what they can down the stretch.
  16. FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK
  17. Roberto takes a line drive off the pitching hand. Someone wake me when it's over.
  18. Cammie going out on a stretcher. Beltran appears to have some shoulder injury. This is bad.
  19. Glavine 3 for 3.I wonder if he can play 2nd.
  20. Cliff Floyd doubles in Beltran. 1-0 good guys.
  21. Kris "Don't Call me Kristin" Benson - 5David Wright - 5
  22. I think it's cool we have a short Met named "Short" and a big Met named "Huskey".
  23. David Eckstein = ClutchBTW, where's our sweeps thread? Do we have one?
  24. Zambrano - 4Beltran - 2Wright - 1Piazza - 1Floyd - 1Reyes - 1
