  1. Even if we can get one run, Wickman is vulnerable. Scratch one across guys.
  2. My mistake. Ten-run innings come in the bottom of the eighth. Must be next inning.
  3. Taking a break to eat lunch. Radio on. Time for a ten-run inning.
  4. I think you have to play IF in there.
  5. Gamecast makes it seem like the baserunners are hopping really high when on base.
  6. Alou 3 OHernandez 2 Castillo 2 Heilman 1 Wagner 1 Green 1
  7. Ray Knight Lenny Dykstra Mike Piazza post 9/11 Honorable Mentions: Todd Pratt Benny Agbayani
  8. I agree with cleon. Let's win this fucking game.
  9. I would think so. The image of 715 famous. I don't think I've ever even seen a replay of 755.
  10. The Braves have a pretty scary lineup. Hudson and Smoltz going the next two days...gotta take this one.
  11. Sandra Bullock's husband dies, then he's back again, then he dies again etc. Bullock tries to figure out the timeline while trying to save her husband. We saw a trailer for it and decided to give it a go even though we had never heard of it while it was out in the theaters. Big mistake. Bad bad movie. Inconsistencies, gaping plot holes, people who act incoherently, people who demonstrate a fraction of the urgency such a scenario would seem to call for....just a big giant mess. Skip it. This isn't so much a review as it is a public service announcement.
  12. Frayed Knot and I have been sitting here with our gloves oiled just waiting for the call.
  13. Both Gary and Howie are on record saying they hate them...Gary went as far as to cite the lack of one as one of the great things about Vin Scully. But both have phrases that come close to being "catch phrases." You could make the argument that Gary's home run call "it's outta here!" and Howie's game ending call "Put it in the books!" both fall into this category. Do you agree? Disagree? Up until he started TV, all of Gary's home runs were called that way. And I have never heard Howie Rose call a last out any other way (except modified versions of the phrase). We all know that John Sterling's "It is high, it is deep..." garbage is probably the worst offender. I think Michael Kay's "see ya!" is contrived and annoying too. But are we just using Met blinders here?
  14. That makes sense. Amazing that it was even an issue.
  15. Gwreck wrote: "When the season is over, I'm sure you'll see him stealing bases as well as Reyes does." Joe Morgan on Luis Castillo, top of the 8th. Morgan = imbecile. ="Frayed Knot"]No Joe, we're not getting Wagner up yet, it's only the 8th inning. Joe was in rare form, even for Joe, last night. Other highlights included his gaffe about Castillo being a career American Leaguer and his brilliant statement that being aggressive on the basepaths is always beneficial as long as you don't run into outs.
  16. Put it in the books! Nice win Mets.
  17. Mets make me nervous. Um. Come on Billy.
  18. Mets make me happy.
  19. Come on Green. Pick them up.
  20. Shoulda walked him a 5th time.
  21. I'd walk Reyes here and pitch to Newhan.
  22. Get angry Marlon.
  23. That was a short-lived lead.
