  1. Yes, let's be clear. I'm not saying good things about Ollie. I'm saying bad things about Wagner.
  2. There's no way A-Rod hasn't strayed before. He had a very public incident with a stripper last year. If the choices were: 1. Stay faithful to your family or 2. Bang Madonna Then I'd pick 1. And so far, I, personally, have chosen to do that...taking a pass on all my chances to bang the Material Girl. But, if I'm A-Rod, where my choices are 1. Bang lots of strippers, hordes of women, but not Madonna or 2. Bang lots of strippers, hordes of women, AND Madonna I'm going with 2.
  3. I was thinking about this too. It would be great to hear Ollie talk about how Wagner has to give a better effort out there and stay focused.
  4. I'd make her wear a wedding dress and find a stage.
  5. No one else has any mention of this. Hopefully he'll be back soon. The lineup looks anemic without him in it.
  6. JCL and I had the same weekend. I actually turned off the game yesterday after Wagner's fuckjob and let my son watch an episode of Dora. I was shocked when the episode ended and the game was still on.
  7. ="Rockin' Doc"]AG/DC - "Gallo's still alive?" Not according to Lisa and Vinny. No, you're thinking of Callo, with a "C". What did Keith have to say about all this?
  8. Maybe Feliciano was the best man for that spot. Fucking Wagner.
  9. There he goes again, trying to downplay the value of DEFENSE and BALANCE.
  10. Let's watch the language. There are kids that read this board.
  11. Ben Grimm: Maybe I'm nuts, but I smell a back-to-back from Delgado. Delgado would later hit 2 HR's, a double and drive in 9.
  12. Delgado 6 Pelfrey 1 Beltran 1 Wright 1 Castillo 1
  13. He had 10 in the month of June before today. A question for those fortunate to watch (or attend) the game. Was it Mets fans only by the late innings?
  14. smg58 wrote: I hope he gets cheered at Shea tonight. Of course he will be. Unless he makes an out at some point tonight, then he will be rightfully showered with boos.
  15. This just in, umps are ruling Delgado's Grand Slam a groundout to second base. Still 7-4 Mets.
  16. Delgado hit it so far the ball left GameCast.
  17. Wow. BG, I'd like to hire you as my financial advisor.
  18. Great job by Pelfrey. I know it's a double-header, but I think I would tell him to hit the showers if I were Jerry.
  19. Another weak hit? Lucky MFY's.
  20. I like these pitching matchups. This four game sweep of the Yankees will turn around our season.
  21. We're going to kick the shit out of them tonight. Then we're going to sweep the MFY's.
  22. Awesome. I hope Adam Rubin kicks the shit out of him. This is fantastic.
  23. Are they to blame? What if you're asking them to be something they are not? The most frustrating part of this year is how predictable it was that this lineup would be lousy. Consider, 1. Reyes: Having a bounce-back year. 2. Castillo: I guess he could be labeled as a disappointment, but only a mild one. His BA is lower than in the past, but his OBP is about what you would expect. 3. Wright: Not having the year he had last year, but by no means is he having a bad year. He's within the realm of what you could expect. 4. Beltran: Again, not having a great year, but with an .862 OPS, he's within what you could reasonably expect from him. 5. Alou: Predictably hurt. Performing as you would expect him to perform. 6. Delgado: Predictably old and bad. Performing as you would expect him to perform. 7. Church: A pleasant surprise, better than we would have thought. Unfortunately, he's hurt. 8. Schneider: Performing exactly as you would expect him to perform. So, considering no one is really underperforming when gauged against reasonable expectations, who is to blame?
  24. Tim Tschida. At least that's how I think you spell it. I got nothing on Tim, other than that he has an impressive porn stache. CB Bucknor, I think, was an ex-marine and on the field when some bozo from the stands decided to run onto the field. CB took him down and made him realize what a bad idea it was. Now I'm thinking it might have been Lance Barksdale. Crap. I suck at this.
