He is. And he's one of those guys I'd root for if he were on the Mets. (Glavine was too, and I rooted for him while he was here. He didn't piss me off until he sucked against Florida last September then went running back to his old boyfriend in Atlanta). It's strange how some Met-Killers fall into "I hate him because he's good" versus "I hate him because he's a vile human being." Went to the game last night. Had a fucking blast man. Me and my homes got so wasted it was like we didn't even fucking know where we were. Everything was cool except this one dork sitting in front of us shooting us dirty looks. Fuck him man. Switched the battery out on his Blackberry when he wasn't looking. Hahaha. Fucking geek. Threw up after 4. Homes and I were thrown out after 6. Who won?

The option only vests at $16 million based on MVP and Postseason MVP voting, and Delgado would essentially have to win both NLCS and WS MVPs for that to happen. Otherwise, the option is for $12 million or a $4 million buyout. Hence, keeping Delgado for 2009 will be a decision with $8 million at issue. My mistake. At $8 million, you keep him. If you sign Texiera, trade Delgado and pay part of the $8 million.
