    It doesn’t feel good to root for the Yankees, but it would be nice if SF was not a factor this year. NYY up 3-1 and threatening to sweep. KC leads Atlanta 1-0. Old friend Michael Wacha with 6 scoreless.

    Vientos needed a sub anyway since he wasn’t going to RF. So might as well get the faster runner in right away. I imagine you can pull random fans from the stands, regardless of age, and chances are they’ll likely be faster than Vientos.

    Braves up 1-0 over KC. Marlins leading the Rox 2-0. NL east threatening to go 5-0 on Opening Day.

    I watched part of the DBacks Dodgers game last night. I realize I'm so baseball starved, I really enjoyed watching completely random game between teams I don't like. It's funny though. In this wild card era I have no idea who I should be rooting for. Normally I'd be rooting for the Dodgers to lose, but it occurs to me that the DBacks might be a team I'll end up rooting against in the WC standings. Like, I'm sure I rooted for the Reds sometime in early 2025 when they played the Phils or Braves.

    Agree with all of this. I missed the anthem. But I heard he messed up the lyrics. Awful. there was a bird collision in RF that led to a bird fatality. There was a dead bird on the field for a while and everyone was telling Benge to pick it up. I missed this but heard about it after. The seventh inning stretch was weird. They didn’t show the lyrics on the scoreboard and it felt like no one was singing. Might have been where I was sitting I was in a box for a work event. I hate it. You can’t really hear anything. The crowd. The speakers. Anything. It’s like they want it quiet so you can mingle. I can’t imagine actual fans like this. It’s not like you’re at the game. It’s like you’re watching everyone else who is actually at the game. Mr Mets hat is removable. Mind. Blown. Benge curtain call was great.

    I hate the day after Opening Day. It’s the longest day of the year. better after a win though.

    Just got home. What a game! I feel like it’s been 87 years since I felt good about the Mets.

    If you got em. List them here. Mine. *Christian Scott is going to be our #3 starter by the end of the season. *At least 6 Mets will hit 20 HR or more. *Brooks Raley is not going to be good. Either hurt or struggle. *Fans will complain about Devin Williams intro music.
