2. Welcome. Those carrots have allowed to to see the issue clearly. Later
3. Brandon got lit up, including three dingers, today. 4.1IP 4H 6R 6ER 3BB 4K 3HR his ERA is up to 5.85. Later
4. The ne plus ultra of throwing arms to me was Roberto Clemente. I would have loved to have seen a throwing contest between Roberto and Ellis. Later

IIRC the lights went out for a short time during a Super Bowl in which Lewis was playing. Someone wrote, "Lewis didn't kill the lights. He was only in the area." Later
6. Catchers had broken fingers all the time. Joe Garagiola quipped that when two old catchers shake hands, it can take a crowbar to pry their hands apart. Later

10. Rose's supporters have included U.S. President Donald Trump, who has said he intends to pardon Rose posthumously. Manfred discussed Rose with Trump when the pair met in April, but he hasn't disclosed specifics of their conversation. I'm going to mentally add this to the "Things Trump Ruined for me" thread in the non-baseball forum. Later
11. From stories I've read, Joe may have been more like an innocent bystander than an active participant. My friend, Shoeless Don the White Sox fan, will be thrilled. Pete knew what he was doing, and he did it over and over and over. His name should never be spoken in the Hall of Fame, much less enshrined. Who gets the next set of pardons? The steroid guys? Feh! 12. Livvy WAS there, along with three SI Swimsuit models. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/livvy-dunne-takes-paul-skenes-005341150.htmlhttps://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/livvy-dunne-takes-paul-skenes-005341150.html Did any of the members of our Tuesday night club notice? Later.

And if he doesn't work out, it only costs the prorated remainder of this year's salary plus two $2milliuon buyouts. And because the Mets would be eating that salary, the prospect being given up doesn't have to be a highly rated one. I get the vibes that it would be worth a shot. Later
15. Right handed hitting White Sox center fielder with power and very good defense. We have two - Siri and Taylor. I think this guy is much better than Siri and more of an every day player than Taylor.. Tommie Agee Redux? Later
16. McCutchen is like a condo in Florida - you can't get rid of him. Later
17. I think I read he had thrown 99 pitches and the manager said his limit is 90. But, WTF, it wasn't as though the kid was struggling. He has 51K in 28 innings this year. In a selfish mode, if the manager wants to give him extra rest, I hope his next start will be at Hartford when I'm at the game next weekend. Later
18. No matter what Skenes' record is, he's engaged to Livvy Dunne. Later

23. =Centerfield post_id=192125 time=1746829856 user_id=65] I don't understand sitting Vientos 2 games in a row. I get that he's started slow, but he's got an .800 OPS over the last 28 days (per BBREF). I doubt Brett Baty has ever had such a stretch in MLB.
24. Bob Gibson was a nice guy, it you weren't facing him with a bat. I was awestruck at the ripe age of 39. I expected Gibson to be a mean beast of a man as he appeared on the mound. Rather, he was the nicest guy in camp — nicest by a wide margin amid a bakers' dozen of nice guys that included renown nice guys Roy Campanella and Ernie Banks. Gibson was cordial, humble, kind, considerate. Disarmingly so. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/10/up_close_with_bob_gibson_a_true_baseball_great.htmlhttps://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/10/up_close_with_bob_gibson_a_true_baseball_great.html Later
