  2. Well, he'd better buy one real quick. He got called up to Binghamton today. Later

  4. I can't get the thought out of my head that if Pelfrey had Dillon Gee's cojones, he'd be a 20 game winner. Later
  5. I bet he could still hit a stickball three sewers. Happy Birthday, Willie. Later
  6. Nice job, JCL. Some funny stuff. Later
  7. If he didn't have to breast feed the baby, he didn't need to take all that time. Its like vacation days at work. If you have then , you might as well use them. Later
  8. Beato has the second longest streak of scoreless innings at the start of a Mets career. Before we get too excited, the record is held by Jack DiLauro. Later

Either one would satisfy me equally. Oh come on! We know you. Admit it. You'd rather see him fucked by angry oxen. Later
  10. I remember last year when he said "Coming into the game is ex-Detroit Tiger Octavio Dotel". That's when I commented that he has no Mets soul. Later

  12. Nice KTE. Played like a grizzled veteran, someone who could have played at the Polo Grounds. I sat in the right field stands there, during a game against SF when all three Alou brothers were on the the team. The fans were chanting, "Hey Alou! Which Alou are you?" Later

That's certainly not good news, but it's a relief, relative to the elbow, right? no, the report is correct. it's the elbow. http://www.hss.edu/conditions_elbow-throwing-injuries-mcl-tommy-john.asp The picture looks like Rodans "Thinker" if you look long enough. Next thing you're going to tell us is that the eyes in the picture follow you when you move. The news still sux, though. Later
  14. I'd like to make the transition from thinking of a player in terms of average/HR/RBI to BA/OBP/SLG, but I still am not sure what is a good number to look for. Later

  16. The best bridge in New York used to be played in the Metropolitan Commercial Bridge League back in the 70's. Many world class players (names that showed up frequently in the bridge columns) in it. Later

I have always felt his fielding is better than his reputation with the glove. Sort of like Jeff Kent lite. Later
  18. Great minds thought alike ten months ago. Link will take you to a whole history of homegrown Met infields, who qualifies, who doesn't. In a nutshell, Davis, Tejada, Reyes and Wright broke the record for most starts by a purebred homegrown Met infield last year. It wasn't much of a record: 15 games by Kranepool, Boswell, Harrelson and Foli, all in 1971. The new record is 39, all in 2010. Davis, Murphy, Reyes and Wright have started nine games together thus far. Thanks. That was a fun read, even the Yankee fan's reply. Later

If so, when, and who were the players? Later Wright, Reyes, Tejada, Davis. 2010. Before that was like '96 or something right? I had thought that when Reyes was healthy, Tejada was sent down. Didn't remember them playing together on the same infield. Thanks. Before that? Later

That they've grown in all sports like kudzu over the last decade or so is truly a blight on this nation. What about so called experts spending days and weeks guessing which order guys are going to be selected in the draft? Based on the success he's had in those selections the last few years, Mel Kuiper's time would be better spent finding a new barber. Later
  23. The Buffalo radio guys mentioned that since his broken foot last year, Luis Hernandez has been playing with four metal screws in his foot. Later

The Daily News blah blah blah Andy Martino blah blah blah regrettably blah blah blah fired blah blah blah Phillies blah blah blah speedo tracksuit douchey fedora blah. You're not without skills, Andrew. But it happened to Brad Emaus and it can happen to you. The best example was when a Philly paper finally got sick and tired of Larry Merchant (after he had already been sent packing out of New York). The headline said "Larry Merchant put on waivers".
