  1. Mazeika can hit, but I haven't read any reports about his defense. I'd like to see him and Nido quickly progress up through the organization in tandem (Nido one step ahead) to the majors. I can't remember the last time (if ever) the Mets had two minor league B, A or A+ level catching prospects who showed some skill with the bat coming up through the organization at the same time. Marketing, finance, public relations, infrastructure, community outreach, but that again triggers the question, "Why would Levine be commenting about Betances?" He should presumably be giving Cashman a budget and then mostly washing his hands of player personnel and contracts. Because he's a douche. Later
  3. Another season of long bus rides. None of them bringing him to the majors. Later
  4. Mr Steady .275-20-75 and still good in the field. An asset. Later

  6. Pfuck Them. The last original thought to come out of Philadelphia was had by Benjamin Franklin. Later
  7. He'll be here all season, but will not shake the post-coming-to-the-Mets Syndrome that has afflicted others. He will be mired in a season that is so awful that it will be impossible to trade him. Say .239/.300/.418, and he'll look bad doing it. Later

But like Ben, I know that anything can happen. I fought through recovering from a sore pitching arm myself and I appreciate what is going through Wheeler's mind. What he's feeling is caused by breaking adhesions and other scar tissue and is considered normal. He has probably been told to expect it and that it results in better freedom of motion. He has probably been told to expect it several times during his rehab. So, unless this discomfort is far beyond what is expected, it may indicate that Wheeler is a wus. Later
  9. Even Carnac can't see much 2017 major league future for Bradford. Maybe 7 late season games in a mop up role, 9 IP, 5.0 ERA. Later
  10. Mrs Derek Jeter is pregnant. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/derek-jeters-wife-hannah-davis-announces-she-is-pregnant/ I wonder if he gave her a gift basket. Please provide your additional punch lines. Later
  11. Becomes a key component of the bullpen, getting out both lefties and righties in middle inning to late key situations. Later
  12. He's healthy. .305/ .354/. 450 /.804 Split between High A and AA. I still think he's have an Alex Rios -type major league career. Later
  13. New reports say the bid was submitted by a member of the Kushner family corporation , but not Jared (the advisor)or his dad (the criminal). Later

Internets are saying the Blevins deal is done (Heyman) and that Ty Kelly has been DFA, but saw no confirmation of the latter. Later

  18. Bravo! Well done. Too bad its snowing. I couldn't make it to the Airport and missed my flight. And I wanted to be there (for the post ceremony party with Maja) so very much. Maybe next year. Later
  19. Is the voting over? The suspense is killing us. We are waiting to buy our airline tickets to attend the installation ceremony. And booking last minute hotel reservations will be a nightmare. Later
