Mets did everything wrong from the start in this game, including having lines at the entrance so congested and slow that me and thousands of others missed the first 2.5 innings. More people were outside than in. I have little sympathy for those who show up too late to get in on time, and due to meeting up with a bunch of folks all arriving separately got a later start than I would have intended (Wifey Bucket + Lunchpail had separate tix and they went in ahead of us) but getting in line at 6:50 for a 7:10 game ought to be enough for a competent and adequately staffed organization to get us through even on amateur night. Instead it took an hour. An hour! They gave out "free shirts" at the entrance but not the ones advertised, they ran out of those. The game was the same, they were just unprepared for and overwhelmed by the visitors.
