1. Nobody loves David Wright more than me but I'm already sick of this.
2. Looks like they met while she was a Binghamton student and he was a Rumble Pony. Post sez she was a 6-foot middle hitter on the volleyball team.
3. I agree it's not a good movie and that the kids all overact. There was a good amount of hotness. It reminded me a lot of Car Wash, where there's a lot of chaos over the course of one work day. That movie also comes off as raggedy but was much better. I didn't buy into a lot of the shenanigans in this one. There's no way a retail employee steals $9000 and doesn't spend months in jail.
4. Hijinks are in heavy rotation at a lively and scuffling indy record store.
5. I was looking up these guys as they were picked. Robertson is one of those "all glory to God" guys apparently with leadoff man speed. Truman Pauley will probably make it to the big leagues and pitch a few years, getting by on his wits, then become a front office executive. I like Frank Camarillo to become one of those guys who bobs between the Mets and AAA in 2028-29, assigned No. 74. Hard to follow these guys' college careers anymore as they transfer frequently in search of NIL $$. It'll get to a point soon if not already, they they will make better money playing in college than the pros
6. Abd here it is. Home run competition
7. Will they do the stupid Xtra inning rules
8. Some of the Pete interviews this week are hilarious if you haven't seen them.
9. Last guy picked: Garrett Stratton, Rice U pitcher, round 20
10. Another deep south guy, Jackson State P Joe Scarborough, goes in the 19th round
11. Georgia high school pitcher Dillon Stiltner goes in round 18
12. Northwest Shoals Community College shortstop Sam Roberson is the 17th round pick
13. We got a guy in the 16th round, Zach Mack! Zach is a 6-5, 245 RHP from Loyola Marymount
14. LSU lefty Conner Ware is the 15th round pick
15. 14th round pick James Smith IV is a two-way player at the University of Memphis, drafted by the Mets as a pitcher, seems like.
16. Round 13: Santa Barbara RHP Frank Camarillo
17. Round 12: Harvard pitcher Truman Pauley. They drafted his butler also.
18. Round 11: Missouri high school outfielder Wyatt Vincent (not Vincent Wyatt).
19. I saw this when it was new in the theater. As I recall you could do worse trying to impress your movie date but altogether not great. It might be time-capsule fun today.
20. Good work everyone The Rockies trade was Collin McHugh for Eric Young Jr. McHugh was DFAed when we made that trade, I don't think anyone would have pegged him as having an 11year MLB career including key positions on a World Series winner. Young was one of those guys who wound up with more playing time that anyone thought was ideal. I believe he won the stolen base title that year. The San Diego trade was Cory Mazzoni for Alex Torres and giant hat. Thanks for playing Name That Trade
21. 2004: Cardinals Roger Cedeno for Wilson Delgado 2006: Royals Bannister for Burgos 2008: Twins -- Johan Santana for Humber etc 2009: White Sox --Ramon Castro for Lance Boadway 2013: Rockies 2015: 2015: Tigers -- Cespedes for Cessa and Fulmer Still looking for 2013 Rockies trade: fringey pitcher with an unexpectedly long career ahead for a speedster with a weak bat.and 2015 trade with a mystery west coast club
22. Now belongs to the Yankees
