  1. Walker seems capable of losing the zone a little too easily. I don't much like it either but we typically have put ourselves in a poor position
  2. This fake ad on the mound is the worst
  3. Edgy MD wrote: Are the Buckets at the game? I think I just saw the Pail on SNY. No the Tuesday Night Mets club will debut 2 weeks from today
  4. I don't know how much this was commented on, but Lindor getting caught stealing in the first inning the other day was about the worst thing that happened to the Mets in 2021 so far., excluding Luis's dumbass yanking of deGrom on opening day. He needs to stop doing that.
  5. I always say this but Big Al had a half-dozen posts that were every bit as good as this one, including a few he references in this one, about the junkie who slept on his couch. Lost but maybe not forever
  6. I listened to one, it's got potential as it combines 2 things I likel. One suggestion I'd make is to spend at least a few seconds up front on a composed intro/"lede" letting listeners know what they're in for. You can record this bit afterward and tack it on the front. "Today we're going to discuss stouts, and shortstops..." or whatever...
  7. Acuna walks. Braves announcer just suggested Albies pull a "Michael Conforto Act." Instead, he grounds out. Braves in Aaron-era, lower-case a throwbacks look great even if they suck Mlb.tv = fun
  8. Next guy fouls out behind 3rd base on 2-0. Acuna up, pitching change
  9. Same game, tied 3-3 in b9. Marlins sidearmer Cimber on on relief, first pitch hits a guy in the knee, next pitch hits the next guy in the knee. Following Brave whiffs trying to bunt.
  10. Now this is a perfect April day at Citifield. Damp, cloudy, cool, windy. They won't need covid limits on attendance tonight because Citi will be the least comfortable place on earth to sit outside
  11. Our friend Collin McHugh getting beat around here in the bonus 10th, MFYs with 4 runs in
  12. It's rainy enough to call off the Cheetos opening day but not impossible to play
  13. Our Answer Key so far: Please enter your answers as written here in the magic scorekeeper to "get credit" for your responses. Our clubhouse leader so far: Ben Grimm with 5 right; Lunchbucket & MFS62 with 3 correct... It may all come down who gets thrown out at home first since I think everyone picked Diaz to have a save first 1. Get a base hit deGrom 2. Reach base safely by any means Nimmo 3. 14. =G-Fafif post_id=59360 time=1617542475 user_id=55] =stevejrogers post_id=59351 time=1617505785 user_id=57] According to the media guide, date of induction to be July 31st. August 28th is the date of the Koos36 retirement. Interestingly, in the Mets By The Numbers section, all 6 retired, and soon to be officially retired numbers are spotlighted, along with two others, Carter and Wright. Hmmmmmm...
  15. Rays put a nice beating on Kluber and the MFYs today, coming back from a 4-2 deficit to win 10-5. Our friend Chris Mazza just pitched a scoreless 9th to finish it including a DP from Jay Bruce. That's all good Hunter Strickland also pitched in relief...
  16. As far as I m concerned Conforto is a national hero for avoiding extra innings and is going bad enough to resort to cheating.
  17. Edgy MD wrote: Good chance he gets dril't tomorrow. Oh yes. McNeil throws his bat 15 yards and Conforto nearly dislocates his shoulder taking one off the armor. Better buckle up
