  1. Segura (bad-looking leg pull) and Harper (back) injured for Phils who are helpfully donating losses they didn't get vs. the MFYs
  2. Willie Small Balls, also 92 yes?
  3. Oh btw, our friend Swanswan gf212121 was also in section 515
  4. Section 515 was fun... Directly behind home plate, way up there, there's an old guy who, I think, originated the heeeeee struck em out cheer. I didn't get staying with Lugo but we surmised Diaz had too many up-downs. Insane send
  5. Tuesday Night Mets Club up in 515 for this one
  6. That's definitely not Franklyn Kilome in that shot. Josh Hejka be like, "I can't believe they think I'm a ballplayer. But I'm only one injury away from a promotion to the big leagues. Should I tell them?"
  7. Arguable whether Mets fans were ever Marisnick fans
  8. We owe these frauds a good beating, having been largely non-competitive in a 3-game sweep in Wrigleyville in April.
  9. No Castro, no Diaz probably
  10. Just got back from Citi, where we caught our first live ball in two years, from Section 102, Field Level. (Vaccinated!) It was electric. It was crowd-started two-strike clapping, stranger-high-fiving electric. It was Gooden-in-1985, Pedro-in-2005, Harvey-Day-times-ten electric. Until Jake got pulled. Then it got quiet. Then it got tense, even mildly testy. Chatted up an old usher while waiting to reenter our section following a mid-Castro beer run, and he was all, "I bet Ronnie and Keith are going BONKERS right now." I didn't disagree. Then some skittish moments... and then, man, does the home crowd welcome Diaz these days. All games should start with Jake and end with "Narco"-- preferably while dancing with your amped-up kid (or a borrowed one)-- and silly, silly sliders/absurdly-fast high fastballs. We should chip in to buy the lwfs's season tickets just to get the recaps
  11. The Mets have re-claimed Tropeano, this time while the Giants we're sending him down. Assigned to Cuse, Tommy Hunter to the 60-day IL
  12. been overcast and kinda cool all day but the Mets and Cheetos will get their games in tonight I predict
  13. I don't know if I overlooked this posted elsewhere but the Mets signed RHP Elliot Johnstone, who was pitching for the Auckland club in the Australian League. Interestingly he was coached there by DJ Carrasco and is pictured wearing a No. 77 Mets jersey I'll bet once belonged to DJ. 2019 ABL rookie of the year! https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/sport/444361/new-york-mets-contract-for-new-zealand-pitcherhttps://www.rnz.co.nz/news/sport/444361/new-york-mets-contract-for-new-zealand-pitcher
  14. Ceetar should send a resume. I'd be happy to write a letter of recommendation
  15. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I admit it's a possibility (albeit a very slim one), but Pete is presenting it as a solid fact. And there's no way he has any real evidence of this. Even worse is that it's the kind of careless leap to judgment that resonates with today's modern moron.
  16. No research, drafts last, builds team behind Conforto and Lindor, and.... First place. FY Yankee Blue Jeans
  17. As I've mentioned, I cycle past the Cyclones stadium often on my rides. What they need, and don;t have, is a big sign facing the street and boardwalk saying GAME TONIGHT or NO GAME TONIGHT as needed. I might have checked em out already if so
  18. We saw this. I don't remember much but felt it more interesting than great.
  19. A marquee matchup of hittable lefties. I never heard of Bruce Zimmermann before 5 minutes ago but hard not to think his folks named him after Springsteen and Dylan. Went to Towson State right nearby. Was one of two shitty pitchers received from Atlanta for Darren O'Day and Kevin Gausman. In a deGrom-less world Gausman would be a leading Cy Young candidate
  20. Great work. Extra credit to Villar for winning Bench Player of the Month and Player of the Month in consecutive months. Lindor's gotta be looking at this and thinking, I best be gunning for one of these
