  1. I think there's a case to send Alvarez to Syracuse for a week or two
  2. I'd trade the shit out Max Scherzer. He'd walk around feeling that his gender had been changed when I'm done with him.
  3. Stroman is the same numbskull who changed his number out of resect for Jose Reyes even though no one asked him to
  4. I only missed the Angel-Marlin today. The rest was easy Got rare with Todd Zeile as the Cub-Marlin
  5. i'm trying but cant find a path to the top
  6. Playing like he needs 3 weeks in Syracuse
  7. He basically said deal with it, he wouldn't commit to anything like trading verlander & scherzer, wants a baseball president but they're hard to find, has some hop that quintana and relief pitchers coming back. Talked to McNeil who feels he's close to coming back
  8. Slumpy Jeff takes a seat vs the lefty
  9. We took this in from Section 515, right behind home plate and home to a collection of Met regulars who do a bunch of cheers that we've heard many times in nearby sections. Last night we were in the same row as them. I think the lead guy's name is Mike, he leads the Heeeeeee... struck him out cheer and the "J-E-F-F Jeff Jeff Jeff!" cheer. Goofy old guys at Mets games. He told us it was his 4,000th baseball game (including away games, which would be ~50 years of 81 games a year. He apparently hasn't missed a Citifield game yet.
  10. A Boy Named Seo wrote: My expert analysis is Jeff loves golf way too damn much. He even wears golf polos all the time. Chill on that shit, bruv. The polos and the golf playing. I also think Jeff would be the most resistant to normal constructive criticism on baseball or golf shirts or anything due to his uncompromising red-assery. All true 👍
  11. I'm probably wrong but fire the hitting coach seems like a good idea to me. (I don't even know who that is).
  12. Looks like it'll be a little rainy too. Tuesday Night Mets Club taking this one in from 515.
  13. Verlander was extremely lucky he didn't give up 4 or 5 runs.
  14. So Zimmo got unlucky. I think a more apt example of What's Wrong With the Mets came in the 6th when we opened the inning home run, walk, single, sac bunt only to see Baty and Alvarez whiff out of more.
  15. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=129891 time=1687786611 user_id=68] What all of that tells me is that the Mets have been very unlucky. Which is a narrative that makes sense to me. The roster is much better than the WL record, I'd say.
  16. =metsmarathon post_id=129883 time=1687783004 user_id=83] man, i'm struggling to connect teams to players. just utterly failing to connect the dots. there's probably a hundred guys who played for both the dodgers and the white sox, and i cannot think of one. not even the obvious choices!
  17. Josh Walker is the real guilty party.
