    I'd definitely go to an A's game vs. doing anything else in Vegas. It would be cool if they could somehow squeeze the stadium onto the strip (Flamingo is a possibility)

    They don't need new roads, and there wouldn't be anyplace to put them anyway. People would take the same route to the same location. Parking would be disrupted during construction, but surface parking is a terrible waste of space in a place like new york. Casino would be something of a Longshot -- there are only so many licenses available and lots of developers want them

    I'm wondering now if they don't go looking for takers on Alonso and just go scorched earth on the rebuild. They need an awful lot of talent, and an awful lot to go right, just to compete next year.

    That every baserunner turned into a double was a drawback for a late inning reliever. I do like his point about the lack of continuity. It's hard to believe the Mets whacked Buck so as to wind up with Mendoza

    Yankee coach for last several years, been getting manager interviews for last two years. I'm personally glad we didn;t hire Counsell who's such a wisconnsin guy he'd only be here for the $$ Personally I think we'd be just as well off with Buck.

    sign me up for the supportrs shield. an IST in baseball might be fun. You'd have to craft the entire season schedule around it, and rainouts would be a problem. But let's see how the NBA does with theirs. The risk is it devalues non-IST games

    Can anyone find the thread? I probably talked about the sadness of him winding up in the Brooklyn bullpen during covid, and the exhibition game he pitched game against the Mets in Las Vegas. Then there was his controversial Schafer Award This guy and Colin McHugh: Org-developed pitchers who hung around the bottom of the barrel before heading off to other clubs to become effective relievers and champions
