Got a funny one from Warner Wolf on Saturdays 8-10 AM on 1050 ESPN Radio Pretty much making a case that Anna Benson was no way the reason for trading Kris Benson and pretty much putting the trade on Kazmir for Zambrano level because Benson has been "winning" in Baltimore. And if the Anna liability WAS the reason then it was the dumbest reason to pull the trigger on a trade in the history of sports! Gee Warner, have you been paying attention at ALL? Anna really was a liability the way she carried herself, her apperances on sleazy radio shows and magazines, ect. It might not have been the only reason, or even the majority reason (money due to Benson for rather mediocre pitching, ect) and a strong case can be made that they SHOULD have gotten a little more than Julio and Maine, but Anna's antics was very much a factor in why Kris got a wife and kids in Baltimore Jack!

Ever notice how it never fails that the guy that makes the gem of a defensive play leads off the next inning? If you walk the leadoff guy he will ALWAYS endup scoring You really have to wonder why ANYONE pitches to (insert whatever hot slugger is on a very hot stretch)

Now if we can just do away with the black trim! "Mets In Black" song parody aside, the Black as a marketing gimmick has gone on WAYYYYYYY too long

BTW, apparantly there is no longer a Mr Met Pinstripe body as usually Mr. Met is in sync with the rest of the Mets, and tonight it was the "Snow White" body and legs for the big baseball head guy

Oh sure they are down by 4 right now in the 9th, but make no mistake, the Mets will be overtaken by the end of the week and the Phighting Phillies, the last non Braves team to win the NL East, will go on to win the East and the Mets will head towards yet another mediocre season, where they'll raise our hopes again in a futile push for the Wild Card come Labor Day weekend. Well he got some professional writing gigs, and even a book offer so he actually quit being the comphrehensive site guy and now does columns for someonelse (let someone who has the time and patience do the dirty work) while he has time to write his own blog, books and his actual job. Of course as this happened the IWC went nuts (much, MUCH more imaturer than even the Trolls of MOFO past I assure you) calling Keith a sellout, acting like the guy should be a webmaster of his old site for life, ect. Just an interesting aside

I swear I may start a thread about why it seems nationally the Met Fan Base is perceived as only loving the little guys and not much love to the stars of the team.
