  1. Aww s**t, GW represents the WC tragic number for the Mets.

Two days to right the ship, for pride if not for a playoff berth. I'll be there, right on the Marlin dugout. Hoping like hell that its not my last trip to Shea this fall.
  3. I am NOT going to post the picture of the gentleman from Qunicy, Mass who was the 2nd President and soon to be the subject of a Tom Hanks produced HBO miniseries, but in both races the number stands at 2.
  4. Well I was hoping for a big comeback myself as well alright
  5. On the bright side, the number for eliminating the Braves is now one.
  6. If you feel that way Soupy, then I'll just continue your themed album covers
  7. And now the man who took down the minutes of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia 1776, the 4th President of the United States, James Madison Not to be confused of course with Oscar Madison
  8. James is coming, but first a word from the FLOTUS
  9. What a c*** tease

I give you the 1969 Postseason, oh sure close games but still, 7-1 is pretty darn easy. Dude, how old were you at the time? You gotta read about Cleon's shoe smudge and JC Martin's bunt. Those games were close -- and Amazin! Thats what I said, they were close, but still, they did end up with a 7-1 record in postseason.

Then I misread that Oh, I didn't know what you meant by that. Someone joked that stuff like "WE RULZ" was the only kind of thing posted on the MLB chat on Gameday. So I posted it here trying to be funny -- a weak attempt at humor while bottoming out.
  13. Sing us a song you're the Pia...

I said the same thing in another IGT about the tanking and hoping the Yanks win. There's something up with this team, I ain't gonna further opine on it 'cause it might make SJR post another song and I may pop a gizzard. Hey Edgy seemed to need to know what the hell I was referring to, thought I'd throw in Classic Clapton and throw in some free style from Jay in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
  15. I mean I'm shocked that TH remained in tact this year, yes the Braves came in looking improved but still. Just not the same
  16. ="metsguyinmichigan"]Chipper!! I used to hate that guy. A part of me wonders why the Met-Brave rivalry was still relevant since 2002. Even last couple of years just never felt the same as 98-01.
  17. On the other hand, it seems Reyes is... Smoking weed smoking wiz Doing coke drinking beers drinking beers beers beers Rollin fatties smoking blunts Who smokes the blunts? We smoke the blunts? Rollin blunts and smokin em Uh let me get a nickel bag

Wrong substances Val, wrong substances Uh...not that I would know the difference from personal usage = Actually MAYBE Reyes should check into what Doc and Darryl did in order to get jump started again! SC=100
  20. bmfc1 wrote: ="SteveJRogers"]Anyone ever check out MLB GameDay's Chat Rooms? I checked twice... morons. Not high brow discourse like us! Yeah I figured it wasn't much beyond "WE RULEZ! YOU SUKS!" sort of discussion with no real PBP.

  22. Anyone ever check out MLB GameDay's Chat Rooms?
  23. 8-3. Time to start a rally
  24. Heh, just thinking now, its going to be strange in 2009, the 40th anniversary of 1969 (uh sorry Yance, MFS62 and others) and doing the celebration in the new ballpark. That would have a odd twinge to it.
  25. I wonder, and seriously as the '73 team gets honored at the same time markers as the '69ners do, if the 1988 team will get, to a lesser extent obviously, some sort of tribute next year?
