I don't think a second-place finish and a wild card berth is out of the question for this team. -
Wright's play saved a run, but he also gave that run back in the 9th. Did very little with his bat to justify anything. He gets nothing from me tonight, mostly because so many other people did more. I also think that it's strange to give Feliciano less than Wright, as Feliciano succeeded in a much higher-leverage situation (he was facing the tying run), much later in the game.

SNY is producing a broacast (even if we can't see it) because of their need to rebroadcast the game later. Does this mean that MLB.tv customers are the only ones to see the game live? (Or are they blacked out too?) -

Thought that bunt by Schneider was really stupid as well. Also would have not taken Maine out in that spot.

Any "blame" that the Marlins have is MLB's fault. MLB needs to get the clubs in line, and if it means forcing teams to schedule their games outside the Fox broadcast window -- well, then they need to do it. I also forgot that News Corporation owns both the NY Post (Musnick's paper) and Fox Sports (one of the parties directly involved here) so there's also the whole conflict-of-interest problem if Mushnick is addressing this.

Fox Sports (212) 556-2500 (all I get is a busy signal) -- if I do get through they're getting a piece of my mind as well. What an under-reported story. Where's Mushnick when we need him? Right here[/url:19rp3tt8], it turns out, although he fails to place the blame on Fox and MLB and instead gives us inanity about the post-game concert that the Marlins are having that led to the early start time.

Don't sit on your ass! Pick up the phone and give them a piece of your mind. MLB: (212) 931-7800. Ask for public relations. Person I spoke to had no idea of the conflict and promised a call back after looking into it.

Between crap like this and the arcane MLB.tv blackout rules, MLB does a fine job of preventing their customers from having access to the product. What a genius business model.

Eh, I agree it was a poor analogy but penalizing the pitcher for putting a runner (or runners) on without any of them scoring -- and while still finishing the inning -- seems silly.
