  1. Pelfrey 3.5 Niese 1.5 Beltran 1.5 Reyes .75 Turner .75 Rodriguez .75 Isringhausen .5
  2. Good and good. Scott Hairston, you're on notice too.
  3. I can't see how Hairston and Hu still have jobs. Igarashi goes as soon as Beato comes back. Bay striking out with the runner on third and one out was what killed us, along with Igarashi's incompetence. He's a relief pitcher. You throw strikes (going down 2-0 to start the game was just terrible). Extra inning rain delayed losses SUCK.
  4. Probably no line at the Shack tonight. Keith burger is in LF on the field level.
  5. I wonder if this would be a stronger defensive lineup with either Turner/Murphy at 3rd and Harris at first.

  7. Rubin says it's a back problem.

Absolutely nothing. Of course, a 1-2 year signing isn't out of the question even if he is traded, as we know he can't be offered arbitration.

  10. Fair point, although we never developed Bautista. In order to get the Benson deal done, we shipped a prospect to KC to get Bautista, and then included Bautista in the package we sent to Pittsburgh.
  11. I was fearful of a rainout but looking at the revised forecast I agree that tonight will get played. Tomorrow's game is now in jeopardy per the forecast (1-2 inches of rain on Tuesday).
  12. I guess metbot is solidly on the "Blame Beltran" bandwagon. 1.81 points for Niese seems excessive, particularly if his cushion to give up those five runs was provided by almost exclusively by Beltran.
  13. I don't know. Even viewed is as neutral as a light as possible (ie. setting aside my MFY-hatred), I can't see any way that Posada was anything other than 100% in the wrong. I guess it was nice that they appreciate a long-time player on their team but the ovations and what not can wait until he decides he's retiring, whether that be this week or at the end of this season. I think what strikes me as strange is how blame gravitates towards Cashman. I also think the guy is a tool but it's clear that he knows what he's doing and is trying to make that team better/consistently competitive yet his decisions have been "undercut" lately, whether by management (extra $$ to Jeter; giving up the draft pick to get Soriano) or now the fans' taking of Posada's side.
  14. I haven't ever played in the CPF league before but if you're planning on switching to a new format next year and need players, let me know...
  15. I really wish we were playing the MFYs right NOW!!! instead of this coming weekend. Although maybe it'll be even better if they get trounced by the Devil Rays in Tampa this week first.
  16. Turner 4.5 Capuano 1.5 Pridie 1.5 Murphy 1.5 Rodriguez 1
  17. Ok, can someone explain the steal of home for the gameday watchers here?
  18. Could really use a 3-run homer from David right here.
  19. RBI single by Pridie and now we have a lead. Nice.
  20. Yeah, seriously. If we can't learn here that bunting is for losers, when are we ever going to learn?
  21. I'm so glad that a. Justin Turner is attempting to bunt b. Justin Turner apparently cannot get a bunt down SC = off the charts

  23. Ok, NOW the no-hitter is gone, with Murphy's clean single.
  24. Anytime someone on the Mets wants to, you know, get a hit, they can feel free to go right ahead and do that.
