  1. Your own Personal Catcher... One of them, anyway Brandon Nimmo – CF Jeff McNeil – 3B Pete Alonso – 1B Robinson Canó – 2B J.D. Davis – LF Michael Conforto – RF Amed Rosario – SS Tomás Nido – C Noah Syndergaard – RHP
  2. Happy Division Title Day + 50! Spill some champagne on an announcer or two, why don'tcha? https://youtu.be/rYHOM81SlfEhttps://youtu.be/rYHOM81SlfE https://youtu.be/pc865NM7uLUhttps://youtu.be/pc865NM7uLU
  3. What a batch of winning portrayals! And a puppy! I'll still take that gift card, though. (There seems to be a cut-and-paste issue wherein the July relievers are listed under August, and the August relievers are listed under bench players.)
  4. Amed Rosario's grand slam last night was the 17th to occur in a Mets loss. Conversely, the Mets have won 22 games in which one of their pitchers has surrendered a grand slam.
  5. This one has 8-7 loss written all over its underside.
  6. Nimmo's busy getting reacclimated.
  7. Amed Rosario – SS Jeff McNeil – 2B Pete Alonso – 1B J.D. Davis – LF Wilson Ramos – C Todd Frazier – 3B Michael Conforto – RF Juan Lagares – CF Steven Matz – LHP
  8. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Sorry! I've been busy with other things! I have a couple of new baseball cards to create and I haven't had the chance to do so yet. To compensate you for the inconvenience, you'll get a 10 Euro gift card that can be used for any purchase at the CPF Gift Shop in Stockholm. Fair exchange. I've had my eye on that commemorative "ROOKIE RUNS SCORED RECORD" t-shirt, with the caricatures of Pete and Cleon, which between the markdown and the gift card I can finally rationalize buying.
  9. Wherefore art thou, August?
  10. The Mets trailed the Cubs by 5 games after the three-game sweep by them of us in late August. The Mets have gained all but a half-game of that margin back. Stupid Brewers.
  11. We lead Philly by 1 1/2 for regular NL East third place. It's not exactly the goal in all this, but finishing ahead of them would be delightful.
  12. Sometimes the thread has the answer you seek.
  13. Brandon Nimmo – CF Jeff McNeil – LF Pete Alonso – 1B Robinson Canó – 2B Wilson Ramos – C Michael Conforto – RF Todd Frazier – 3B Amed Rosario – SS Zack Wheeler – RHP
  14. The Padres have fired 2009 Met Andy Green and replaced him on an interim basis with 2010 Met Rod Barajas.
  15. Runs scored is one of those stats that disappeared from leading indicators for decades, then regained favor when the analytically inclined noted scoring runs is kind of what it's all about. Yet if there was a murmur over Alonso setting that particular record, it was fairly muted.
  16. Reyes's rookie season was 2003. He showed up in the ROY voting, along with Ty Wigginton.

  22. Eric Hanhold was the 55th Met of 2018, breaking the player turnover record that had endured since 1967 (kid named Wright was No. 56). E-Han was called up for a minute this year, wasn't used, and got sent down. Good luck in Birdland.
