  1. Harper just got lost there - could have easily caught a foul ball by Reyes but he stoppes himself and raised his arms up like he was afraid of the wall... Which was still 5 feet away! Reminds me of Bobby Abreu
  2. Oh my goodness gracious!
  3. Wish it had been an AL team since I dont like seeing the Phillies do well, but nice to see the Jeters gets smacked around like that
  4. Nimmo comes on and doubles and must be thinking "wow, I STILL look like the 4th best outfielder today"
  5. Nimmo: "oh hey dont forget about me!"
  6. Ceetar wrote: Arrested by June. Doesn't serve any time. Least likely player to be arrested. I'm not so sure he gets to Vegas. The Mets are leaving so they might not care about the attendance boost and I doubt he hits enough to EARN the promotion. My prediction is he stays in AA until the minor league season ends. Pinch hits a few times in September for the Mets, then gets removed from the 40 before the rule 5 draft to allow the Mets to protect real players.
  7. This is really dumb.
  8. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I'd give Gsellman another inning. Maybe even another two, if he does well. 100% agree with this
  9. 85 pitches on opening day feels like enough. this is too big a chance to knock it open also, pinch-hit!

  11. Plawecki with another walk! Syndergaard buns them over, and Rosario bring them home! OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUT
  12. Lefty Specialist wrote: Centerfield wrote: TRADE DOM SMITH lol If I thought there was a fair offer out there, sure. Not because of Gonzo, because ALONSO IS COMING!
  13. Bruce with a 9 pitch walk, Cardinals making the mound visit. LGM!!
  14. CESPEDES!
  15. Plawecki walked, the Mets are seeing pitches at least. The downside, everyone in the opposing bullpen is rested on opening day
  16. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: FUCK YOU MOLINA yup.
  17. Interesting that the fans really don't love Jose anymore, even those who damned the Mets for letting him go. Maybe if he wasn't beating women he'd have been welcomed back
  18. Wow. Cleaning a loaded gun? Does he clean knives by stabbing his hand with the pointy end?
  19. He shot himself in the leg? Plaxico Burress Style?
  20. I was high on him in the past so i'll throw good money after bad here - displaces d'Arnaud by June. .250/.350/.375 in 400 PAs, not too shabby for a starting catcher
  21. A Boy Named Seo wrote: Wheeler getting pounded like a stripper at a Donald Trump cocktail party. Top 2nd, 4-0 Nats, more danger brewing... Wait, Wheeler is pissing on the Nationals? Awesome!
  22. Edgy MD wrote: It doesn't really remove him from the 40. It just keeps him from counting against the 40-man limit. For all other purposes, he's a man on the 40, with all rights and privileges, only moreso. oh yeah, that's true, i'm thinking about him wasting a roster spot or not, i don't care that he is entitled to Wilpon's money or anything, that is a non-problem for us.
  23. Edgy MD wrote: You can't remove an injured guy from the 40 anyhow. The book closes on him for 2018, but he'll remain on the roster. the 60-Day DL removes him from the 40 man in-season. I suspect he gets cut next offseason to keep him from impacting the 40 then (along with the negotiated retirement of David Wright)
  24. Nice hit, but he is no Bartolo!
