Better that he hang out with a positive influence like Tebow in Bingo than the temptations of Vegas. I love the trolling, Tebow homered recently, it was on ESPN! http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=23398264
  2. because of the hitting environment in Vegas or because its Vegas?
  3. "They should do it because it's the right thing to do. If doing the right thing is considered covering your ass, then sure." Is there any evidence given his current condition that a skipped start would be beneficial or that he would be less likely to cause further injury 10 days from now instead of 5? the "right thing" is following medical advice. unless there is medical advice not to play he should play.
  4. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I was one of only two voters for "struggle and be released" and nothing since has changed my mind at all. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened within a week. what is his option situation? he can't be sent down involuntarily can he?
  5. not all doctors are trustworthy:
  6. Really Fucking Reyes? Leading off?
  7. They dont know what they are doing, but I hope it works out
  8. Yeah, keep doing the .390 thing and hope pitchers see the .317 and decide to attack the middle of the plate.
  9. If he was ever actually ready, you figure it out. Gonzalez wont be here forever so that's the roater spot. Playing time? Earn it.
  10. It felt like Wright was a no brainer to pass Strawberry at one point, but now it feels like Straw could be safe for another 10 years. Is there anyone in the organization who seems like even a potential threat? Maybe Conforto one day
  11. Let him go lose it in Port St Lucie or Vegas then
  12. Yes! Walk a batter in a 4 run game! Dumbass
  13. Harvey being Harvey If the Mets need to go to another pitcher to bail his ass out of a 5-0 game I would offer him AAA or his release
  14. Edgy MD wrote: I send Lagares on contact. He'd probably be out there, but he'd force a throw and tag (and look at Asuaje throwing under pressure). If he's out. Lóbaton displaces him on first. On the other hand, as LWFS notes above, Lagares should have tried to score on the bunt, too. Come on, Sherlock. I'm totally fine with him holding in that grounder. The bunt he should have scored. But is that his fault? He doesn't have eyes in the back of his head, doesn't the 3b coach need to yell something to indicate there is nobody covering 3rd so he can trail Villanueva down the line?

  16. Keith just gave the finger on air!
  17. I don't want a guy named "Rocker" ! Seth Beer still has the best name, but is sadly a likely DH
  18. As long as you saw Alex on the diamond and not in the booth...
  19. Maybe they try Matz as the lefty lacking in the bullpen?
  20. He is certainly an ass. The question is can he help the team anyway
  21. A Boy Named Seo wrote: Harvey 2015 v. 2018. EDIT: I agree disappearing velocity surely plays a part in his diminished effectiveness. BUT, it also looks like he's not hitting his spots as often in 2018. That is one interpretation. Another would be that, as a result of decreased velocity, the spot he is trying to hit is no longer the same. You can pitch effectively much closer to the middle of the plate at 98 than you can at 92. Hard to prove if he is "missing" his spot or not.
  22. Edgy MD wrote: Really? What would satisfy you? Video analysis of every pitch showing where the catcher set up and the distance his glove moved to actually catch the pitch. Nothing else will prove where he intended the pitches to end up vs where they did.
  23. Cespedes, Bruce, Familia! its the losing streak goats coming through!
  24. Nymr83 wrote: hitting over .300 now, two RBI tonight so far. Granderson for Bruce! Well, my insulting of Bruce seems to have paid off the same way everyone insulting Granderson used to.
  25. I think he sucks in the pen and goes on the DL with phantom injuries at some point
