so what? so i find it objectionable when people voice an opinion only when circumstances make them right, but keep their mouth shut when they don't. lets not call that guy's negative opinion disgraceful because you dont agree with it...call it wrong if you want, but i dont see how its disgraceful.
]I believe it was lying nonsense before that also.yes, but before cameron got hurt this was only th guy's opinion and not "disgraceful" as the poster said
the thought of Diaz, Anderson, and Woodward/Williams being our starting outfield for even a day is scary. the thought of any but Diaz being in there more than a week is terrifying.
the visitors bullpen is in foul ground but the home team gets a protected one behind the wall????thats fucked up, if thats allowed the mets should do it too....tell the padres we are spraying for rats in the visitors bullpen and they are welcome to warmup down the third base line.
lesson: midgets can't hit (at least compared to the taller folk on the mets)pretty strange how about 99% of players are between 5'9 and 6'5...i'd guess there arent more tall athletes because they are relatively rarer in the population (5'9 is about average height for a man in the usa) and because they chose other sports (the NBA, NFL.) as for short people i guess they just stink, but i already knew that :P
]Fat guy Ryan Klesko may call in sick at least tonight with back issues: Hes 10-for-29 lifetime against Pedro. those are good numbers, why would you wanna sit?
is catcher a relative strength? well relative to other catchers maybe, but how about relative to other $10 million+ players? expectations/contracts play a huge part in how good a year you are having. if the mets werent paying piazza 15 mil they could conceivably be giving it to Delgado. and their 1B/C duo would be better than the current 1B/C duo.i'm not looking to start a piaza-bashing fest, just suggesting that since other catchers aren't payed like piazza is they shouldn't be compared to him like that. Its not like he's a defensive asset either...most teams have a slugger at 1B and a defensive wiz at C...we have the opposite...compare piazza to the other 1Bmen and mientkiewicz to the other catchers for a more reasonable view of what they are doing compared to what the mets needed out of them.
] 'He left Pedro in after the magic 100-pitch mark right after he served up a HR? WTF was he thinking ... didn't he learn anything from watching Grady?' i don't buy that though...if hernandez and loopy had not thrown the night before then fine, go to them, but under the circumstances asking pedro to pitch the 8th is a good idea.
i was at yesterday's game and i wanted pedro to stay in. we were trying to ge a "lock the door" chant started when the bullpen opened.other than that i cant say much about this series...everyone got burned on tuesday making there NO good choices after the starters got bounced last night and today. there were bad choices and worse choices. i won't fault randolph for the ones he made this time around.
]Zambrano tops Loaizain what world is this?Loiaza has a better ERA, lower whip & more wins.Zambrano might have a strikout edge, i havent looked.Manny >>>> Walker is the reason you cant even consider that trade though.
yes, which is why half the roster routinely finds themselves on revocable waivers every august... personally i'd put glavine, piazza on them right now just to see... if anyone claimed piazza pull him back, hes a FA after this yearanyway....if anyone claims glavine's contract for next year they can have it.
]* He was too slow to recognize when it was time to rebuild, continually going for the division win with jerryrigged collections of talent that looked good on paper but had little depth and got badly exposed. ok Sal, stop stealing passwords and post with your own name!
